[Suzuran Cosplay] Arknights: Thoughts After Lulling Lisa to Sleep Late at Night - Image 1

Fitting the theme of the Arknights and Luo Xiaohei collaboration, this styling for Suzuran Cosplay (Lisa) features an abundance of fluffy elements. Just securing the little black cat prop atop my head and arranging the large ears on both sides along with the lace headband took considerable time adjusting angles in the studio. For the eye makeup, bright-colored contact lenses were used to capture the character's innocent look, with blush applied generously to convey a vibrant Kemonomimi girl energy. The round-eyed pink kitten plush held in hand was also an essential part of this collaboration accessory set, serving nicely as a prop during the shoot to ease any awkwardness before the lens.

The shooting process truly tested patience, requiring me to maintain that wide-eyed, naive expression while constantly checking the direction and flow of my bangs. Many people ask about my experience shooting such fluffy, plush-type 2D characters: the key is definitely meticulous grooming of the fur so tufts don't clump or tangle together, as well as catching that catchlight in the eyes. You must accurately find the light source angle to bring out crisp reflections in the pupils, which makes the character look wonderfully adorable.

Wrapping up past 10:00 PM late at night left me utterly exhausted—too tired to even change out of the costume. Yet reviewing the raw shots in the camera, the lace bow tie and pale golden hair harmonized beautifully. The chosen studio setup used warm backlighting to illuminate the pink fluff around the ears, bestowing a soft-focus glow across the entire frame. Although I fell asleep right after finishing from sheer fatigue, dressing Lisa up so gorgeously and completing this Luo Xiaohei collaboration fan creation brought immense joy. To achieve that porcelain-doll effect, the foundation was kept clear and radiant, paired with a glossy glass-lip tint that accentuated her delicate, endearing vulnerability. Because this type of makeup relies heavily on specific lighting, we spent extensive time testing angles in the studio.
