After wrapping up this Rosmontis look, Boss Xiaowai and I completed an Anime convention check-in with these shots at the Arknights convention venue. I was very pleased with how the overall color palette harmonized with the background UI elements—it was a truly smooth shooting experience.
A great deal of thought went into preparing the outfit for this White hair cosplay. The wig was custom-made long silver-white hair; to capture that airy and dreamy feel, the tips were slightly curled, and the white animal ears on top were angled carefully to contour snugly with the head shape without looking awkward. The tail was crafted from soft faux fur, having a tangible weight when walking that added to the character's lively presence.
The core costume consists of a blue-and-white dress printed with orderly circular patterns, layered with a dark jacket lined with vibrant bright blue, with matching finishes on the cuffs and collar. The most time-consuming part was the black Strappy stockings on the legs: not only did we have to ensure the straps wouldn't slide down, but they also needed to flatter and elongate the leg shape. Numerous on-site adjustments were made to ensure the black straps and over-the-knee stockings contoured naturally and seamlessly. Paired with textured black combat boots, the entire silhouette looked noticeably more upright and poised on camera.
The black tablet prop in my hand was custom-made, faithfully matching the proportions and weight, which enhanced immersion into the character when holding it for photos.
Foot traffic was heavy on the day of the convention. To dodge the crowds and get clean background shots, we waited for a long time in front of the backdrop. Boss Xiaowai gave very professional posing guidance—such as how to naturally raise a hand to touch the head, angle the body to spread out the skirt, and hold the tablet more photogenically—finding accurate angles that greatly improved our shooting efficiency. The indoor lighting was quite intricate, especially with harsh overhead lights; to prevent facial overexposure and preserve the details of the white hair and dress, we experimented extensively with reflectors and light metering.
In post-processing, the concept focused primarily on restoring authentic colors, preserving the layered textures of the white hair while deepening the shadows on the black Strappy stockings to give leg lines more dimension, as well as cleaning up cluttered elements in the background to keep the focal point squarely on the character. Although the shoot was physically demanding, seeing the final results made every bit of effort feel worthwhile.
