[Ling cosplay] Arknights Sister Ling Convention photos Sharing

This set of Arknights Ling cosplay Convention photos was shot at CPGZ, and I've delayed posting it until now. This look has a very strong design presence, and I personally adore this cool, elegant style. From the silver dragon horns on top of my head to the pointed elf ears (Dragon horns and elf ears), paired with the long wavy blue wig and red-pink highlights, the superposition of these elements brings out an immense presence. To complement this cold, slightly aloof demeanor during the shoot, I kept a straight face without smiling, maintaining a serene and detached composure. Regarding the costume, I wore a white jacket featuring a black high-collar design over a black bandeau top, paired with black shorts and platform black boots on the bottom, blue gloves on my hands, and a brown gourd accessory hanging from my waist. This black, white, and blue contrasting color palette was extremely eye-catching on-site.

The prop is a very long metal staff with golden connecting joints in the middle. The prop is actually quite heavy, making my wrists sore after holding it for a while, so I chose a cross-legged sitting pose during the shoot, resting the long staff horizontally across both knees. This not only showed off the length of the staff, but also made the composition much more stable. Foot traffic was heavy at the CPGZ venue on the day of the shoot, making the background environment rather chaotic. To avoid the cluttered background, photographer Xie Yang chose a spot next to a pillar, utilizing the cool ambient lighting of the venue combined with a wide-aperture lens to blur out the background. In the second photo, black umbrellas and other passersby can be seen in the background; finding this camera angle took some time.

In post-production, retouching mainly focused on unifying the color tones, enhancing the cool blue textures to make the skin look more translucent while darkening the ambient light of the surroundings to make the subject stand out. Since these are Convention photos with people constantly walking around, being able to capture these clean and crisp compositions owes a great deal to the photographer's snapping skills. Being called 'Sister Ling' at the convention gave me quite a sense of accomplishment—after all, this character is beloved by so many, and being able to present that proud, aloof, yet mysterious nature to everyone was a truly special cosplay experience. This outfit actually flatters the body shape quite well, especially after pairing with the black boots, making the overall lines look very sharp.

Capturing the facial expressions and gaze was the key to this photoset: a slightly lowered glance paired with cool lighting suited the character's temperament perfectly. Having cosplayed many different characters before, the style jump this time was quite substantial, making it a brand-new challenge. To keep the makeup lasting throughout the convention day, I carried setting spray with me so that sweat from the crowds wouldn't ruin my look. No overly elaborate special filters were used in these photos; they mainly relied on sculpting light and shadow to elevate the texture, especially the cropping of the first photo, which concentrated visual focus on the subject. Although the shooting process was demanding, collaborating with an excellent photographer produced highly satisfying final shots, leaving behind a wonderful record of this anime convention journey.
