[Lisa cosplay] Genshin Impact Witch Anime convention Photoshoot Notes

I did the styling for Genshin Impact's Lisa cosplay at an Anime convention. There were very few fellow fans around so I didn't get to take many commemorative photos with others, but photographer Jianshenghan put immense effort into shooting, making the whole endeavor worthwhile. Heading to this Anime convention was quite a last-minute decision; I initially just wanted to stroll around and bring out a character I'm comfortable portraying, without arranging travel companions in advance. When I arrived, practically no one recognized me. Strolling peacefully without crowds asking for photos actually felt rather pleasant—no squeezing through packed aisles, allowing me to focus calmly on Cosplay photography with the photographer.

Photographer Jianshenghan was contacted beforehand. He located a great spot with fine lighting; although backlit, it suited the mysterious temperament of Lisa perfectly. The witch hat was huge, so to preserve its rounded frilly contour, I had to hold it with one hand to keep it from obscuring my face. The neckline featured elegant lace trim paired with vibrant yellow gloves, creating a graceful aristocratic aura. What satisfied me most were the Black stockings on my legs paired with golden strappy thigh rings, which delivered a high hit-rate of great shots on-site.

For the first photo, I focused on upper-body posture and head angle, looking into the lens and using subtle finger placement to contrast the yellow gloves against the darker garments. When shooting the second full-body shot, I deliberately posed with one leg lifted while holding the blue magic tome, visually elongating my height and rendering smooth leg lines on camera—after all, full-body shots are all about overall costume proportions. The greatest joy of showcasing a niche fan cosplay at an Anime convention is that as long as you understand the character, you can capture their authentic essence.

Regarding makeup and styling, to stay faithful to the lore, the eye makeup remained subtle, mainly brightening the gaze with pale purple contacts; combined with the hat's soft shadows, the character vibe came alive. The long wig felt heavy, and carrying the oversized hat all day left my neck slightly sore, but these minor discomforts in no way dampened the joy of cosplay. Perhaps the only regret was not getting group photos with other Genshin Impact cosplayers, but seeing passersby pause to appreciate the look was rewarding in itself. Special thanks to Jianshenghan for the dedicated shoot and post-processing; I love the color grading, especially the backlit ambiance illuminating the skirt hem and hair strands. This photo set served as a satisfying conclusion to this Genshin Impact journey. While I engage in other Cosplay photography hobbies regularly, nothing beats the feeling of portraying characters you genuinely adore.
