[Cheshire Cosplay] Ice Princess of Azur Lane: Afternoon Moments of Elegance

The primary challenge of Cheshire's Ice Princess look lies in the massive white hat with purple gauze ruffles; not only is it huge in size, but it also features deep purple ribbons, requiring constant attention to the relationship between the hat brim and facial lighting during every shot. Multi-layered purple bows and mesh pleated details on the hat add rich visual layering. Dark purple satin ribbons drape across the chest, naturally transitioning to the neck bow, while the metallic key pendant right at the center serves as a finishing touch—infusing a medieval vintage flair into the overall look and perfectly filling the visual void at the neckline.

To recreate the signature cool elegance and vivacity of the Ice Princess, a silver-gray shade was chosen as the wig's base color, accented with teal-green highlights on both sides of the bangs. This gradient approach breaks up the monotony of extensive gray hair, making the look feel much lighter. Paired with teal-green contact lenses in a matching hue, her gaze appears clear and deep under the light. For makeup, the base was kept light and translucent, while a coral-red lipstick with orange undertones was chosen to enhance complexion and neutralize the distant feel of cool-toned hair. The eye makeup was moderately enlarged to accentuate eye contours, making every eye-contact moment more captivating.

The biggest highlight of this outfit lies in the extensive lace paneling at the collar and cuffs. Especially under the deep V-neck design, white lace naturally traces the body curves, creating an atmosphere both elegant and subtly languid. Layered white lace frills at the cuffs, adorned with delicate embroidery and pearl embellishments, complement the blue lining to soften arm contours. During wearing, the gentle touch of the lace fabric against the skin nicely balances the weight of heavy decorations, allowing every arm movement or turn to maintain a fluid grace.

In terms of posing, I experimented with various small details to embody the character's playful charm—such as poking my cheek with a fingertip, a cheeky wink, and resting my hand naturally at the collar. When shooting these poses, special care was needed regarding the relationship between hand and face positioning to avoid blocking the chest pendant or disrupting overall lines. In particular, the pose with a hand gently resting on the collar naturally elongated the neck line while tastefully showcasing the costume's layered beauty, giving the photo an aura that is both poised and approachable.

The shooting location featured a splendid European retro setting: a large golden birdcage entangled with red roses on the left, alongside a retro rotary phone and gilded candelabras on the fireplace to the right, infusing the scene with a rich manor ambiance. Warm yellow candlelight served as background lighting, softly brushing against the side and back of the subject, working in tandem with soft frontal lights to outline the silver sheen of the wig's edges and the semi-translucent lace texture. Background bokeh highlighted the subject, while the golden birdcage prop created a perfectly balanced warm-and-cool contrast against the blue-purple tones in the foreground.
