This time, I'm cosplaying Herta from Honkai: Star Rail. The entire process from makeup finalization to the shoot made me feel it was exceptionally worth it. The makeup artist truly understood me so well, transforming my round eyes into an upturned eye shape. Paired with that cold and slightly tsundere gaze, I found the soul of the character instantly. The texture of the costume is stunning, especially that iconic large witch hat; when the light hits it, there is a mysterious purple glow circulating, and the details of the staff and boots are also restored beautifully in place. During the shoot, I kept searching for Herta's aura of 'you are all mere mortals.' While sitting, I specially adjusted the posture of my shoulders and fingers, wanting that casual yet completely in-control feeling. The results straight from the unedited frames already surprised me immensely; it didn't need much post-production, as the light and shadow layout itself was highly captivating. Actually, the hardest part of cosplay is not how accurately restored the clothes are, but whether you can truly become that person in front of the lens. This time, I practiced those micro-expressions in front of the mirror for a long time, just to capture her unique composure and a touch of banter. I'm very fortunate that every time I can touch the characters I love through this approach; it is not a simple imitation, but a dedicated interpretation. When I received this set of photos, my heart was filled with a pure sense of achievement. Excellent works never need too many gorgeous words to adorn.
