Looking at the styling in the mirror, I was still hesitating about how to fix the hair clips on my head to look the most natural. That black hairband and the green geometric decoration had to be pinned about two fingers-width above the bangs, which can hold down the wig without looking awkward. For the black bow next to it and those two light green feather hair accessories, I also fine-tuned the angles several times—it needed to showcase the character's features without looking too exaggerated. The sleeves as well; that off-the-shoulder creamy-white knitted sweater has slightly long cuffs, and I deliberately pulled them down to bunch up at the back of my hands, making it look much lazier and cozier.
This time I chose a relatively everyday outfit for Firefly. This creamy-white cable-knit off-the-shoulder sweater has a softer material, and the small bow design at the neckline is very exquisite; to prevent it from wandering around, I used a bit of invisible tape to secure it. The off-the-shoulder wearing style is great for showcasing collarbone lines, paired with a dark blue and grey checkered pleated skirt whose length hits right above the knees, visually elongating the lower body proportions and preventing the overall styling from looking stiff.
To match the overall color tone, I specially chose this silver-gray long curly wig with blue-green highlights. The wig needs to be carefully combed before wearing, especially the hair ends where I use a little anti-frizz spray. Trimming the blunt bangs is crucial for refining the face shape, and I used a flat iron to carefully shape the edges into an inward-curving arc. In terms of makeup, I wore purplish-pink circle lenses, applied a large area of reddish-pink eyeshadow, deepened the outer corners of the eyes, and elongated the eye shape. To increase the doll-like feel, I applied distinct, separate eyelashes, drew tight eyeliner on the lower eyelids, and paired it with a large area of pink blush and glossy lip gloss to make the face look more three-dimensional. The white plush choker is also a nice little embellishment, keeping the gaze focused on the neck.
When taking pictures, I decided to go shoeless, going barefoot with this kind of thick white ribbed slouch socks. The wrinkles of the slouch socks nicely refine the calf lines while increasing the overall cuteness. When standing on a white round stool for a mirror selfie, I would make sure to place my weight slightly on one leg, with the other leg bent slightly and extended forward; this utilizes the perspective relationship of the mirror to make the legs look longer and body proportions better in the lens. Lowering the phone angle slightly and shooting slightly upwards can make a person look more slender. When sitting down to take pictures, crossing and closing both legs while slightly tensing the toes makes the calf muscle lines look more attractive. I also added a white plush tail behind me; although partially blocked by the pleated skirt and sweater, it occasionally peeks out when sitting, which fits the setting quite well.
Cross-bodying a dark red metal-chain small round bag also added some layering to this outfit. Overall, this time I attempted to incorporate more everyday and comfortable elements while retaining the character's key features. Through repeatedly confirming the hair accessory positions, adjusting the bunching feel of the sweater sleeves, and utilizing mirror selfie angles to showcase the slouch socks and leg lines, I hope to present a natural and energetic everyday state of the character.
