[Klee Cosplay] Fish Blasting Operation Initiated: Sneaking Away Before Acting Grand Master Jean Finds Out

I finally gathered all of Klee's gear for this Firefly Comic Con. The petal texture on the hat and the diamond cutouts on the apron were manually adjusted piece by piece by myself. Wearing leather gloves for a long time definitely felt stuffy, but it was worth it for character accuracy. The skirt length was just right to reveal a section of lace-trimmed White tights cosplay paired with black leather shoes. Standing on the outdoor street when the wind blew, both the hemline and wig fluttered nicely, giving candid captures on-site even more presence than studio shoots. For that golden clover necktie, I specifically picked a matte finish material to prevent heavy reflections from stealing the spotlight. The fish-blasting bomb prop wasn't brought into the convention this time since it couldn't pass security, so it had to be Photoshopped in later (laughs). The shooting location was chosen on the street outside the exhibition hall, with road barriers and blurred crowds in the background. The lighting was afternoon natural light, bringing out skin texture nicely without needing reflectors. For makeup, I defined the eye contours more heavily to make the reddish-brown contact lenses look even more ethereal for the Elf ears cosplay, while the pointed ear props were secured with medical tape for three hours—I kept worrying they would fall off during photos. The crowd on convention day was massive, but when we walked to an open stretch of road, the photographer captured several expressive poses—like opening both hands to greet the lens, resting my chin on my hand in thought, and that final heart gesture. These were improvised on the spot, unexpectedly fitting Klee's mischievous yet cute personality. Returning to the hotel and taking off makeup, I noticed slight redness around the base of my ears, but seeing the final Convention photos made every bit feel worth it. Cosplay actually tests not only garment details, but also a relaxed presence in front of the camera. Attempting to bring the character into real street settings felt completely different from studio shoots. I hope to always maintain this passion for every Genshin Impact character, because every location shoot is a brand new adventure.
