[Tanga Ibuki cosplay] Blue Archive Classroom Daily Record

Portraying Tanga Ibuki this time truly demanded extensive dedication during pre-production. To authentically capture the character's overall aura, I spent considerable time testing makeup and styling in advance. The wig was specifically cut with blunt bangs, paired with petite black demon horns and elf ears. To maintain the hovering illusion of the golden multi-pointed star halo prop overhead, internal wire armatures were required, necessitating constant careful angle adjustments during shooting to prevent the rigging from being exposed. The black ribbon hair bows edged in white on both sides also had to be kept strictly symmetrical before the lens—practically every detail was meticulously dialed in.

The wardrobe possesses rich visual layering: a white long-sleeved collared shirt with a red ribbon tie, layered under a deep navy pleated pinafore dress where the white trim along the skirt hem provides a crisp framing effect. Though the petite black bat wings on my back might seem like minor accessories, I had to stay constantly alert whenever walking or sitting down to prevent them from being crushed or deformed. Those bright Yellow rain boots were undoubtedly the standout accent of the entire look—boasting high color saturation, they popped vibrantly against the wooden classroom backdrop. To elevate the playfulness and visual richness of the shoot, I also brought along that white plush toy with oversized eyes and rosy pink cheeks, as well as the signature red, white, and black rifle prop.

This shoot took place inside a mock-classroom setting. To achieve natural lighting texture, the right side of the studio was draped with extensive white sheer curtains, allowing sunlight to diffuse through into gentle ambient bounce light. This lighting scheme falling across the subject's profile not only accentuated skin texture, but also sculpted distinct layers across the golden wig. Being in a classroom environment allowed us to exploit the height difference between desks and chairs. I experimented with perching on the edge of the school desk or crossing my legs; these postures not only showcased the pairing of Yellow rain boots and white ankle socks, but also leveraged lens perspective to elongate leg lines.

In pose choreography, I aimed to convey a more multi-dimensional personality rather than one-dimensional sweetness. When rubbing my eyes while cradling the plush toy, movements were slowed down to catch that sleepy, languid innocence of having just woken up. In the shot aiming the rifle straight at the camera, my gaze sharpened with sudden focus, forging a delightful contrast against the petite silhouette. For the moment tossing the plush doll into the air, we fired off burst shots repeatedly to ensure sharpness and kinetic energy; the instant I caught the plush, leaning my center of gravity slightly back with raised arms and eyes tracking the doll tested both stamina and micro-expression control. Sketching in a notebook and one-legged standing stances were also incorporated to anchor the shoot in authentic campus everyday life.

The entire process was a genuine test of chemistry between photographer and model. I had to continually calibrate angles relative to the lens—a subtle head tilt gave the halo and facial profile dimensional depth, while tucking the chin slightly made the gaze more commanding. Prop transitions between the plush toy, textbook, and firearm kept the series visually dynamic across scenes. I'm thoroughly pleased with the final result; every angle delivered its intent, and the chromatic clash and classroom mood fully matched my vision in this rewarding Blue Archive Anime-style photography session.
