[Ryuge Kisaki cosplay] Blue Archive Tsundere Deskmate in the Classroom

For this Blue Archive Ryuge Kisaki cosplay shoot, most preparation focused on the wig and makeup. Kisaki's hairstyle is very distinctive; I spent substantial time adjusting the twin buns to look completely natural while ensuring the long sidelocks draped smoothly. Paired with blue butterfly hair accessories, the character's recognizable silhouette came together immediately.

For makeup, to match the character's aura, I deepened the reddish-pink tones around the eyes to give the gaze a sharper anime feel, keeping the foundation clean and translucent. The outfit consisted of a standard white collared shirt, navy striped necktie, and navy pleated skirt, paired with white stockings and dark brown platform loafers. The cut of the shirt was crucial; a slightly relaxed fit formed natural folds on camera, and the knot of the necktie was adjusted several times to ensure crisp dimension.

The location chosen was a classroom, where desks, chairs, the chalkboard, and wooden floors provided authentic ambiance. To capture Kisaki's slightly tsundere yet endearing personality, we put thought into pose choreography. Giving a thumbs-up at a desk or sitting cross-legged while brushing a strand of hair reflected her casual, everyday moments. Sitting on the wooden floor tugging her tie while looking into the lens captured her slightly assertive yet playful charm. The line '別に好きじゃないし…！' (It's not like I like you or anything...!) was chalked onto the board intentionally; paired with outstretched arms, it conveyed her classic reluctant affection directly.

Lighting control was vital during the shoot. Classroom daylight combined with fill lighting clearly rendered the textures of both the white shirt and white stockings. Because uniforms and pleated skirts easily wrinkle awkwardly or pose wardrobe malfunction risks when seated, we pre-blocked every pose and arranged the skirt's curve carefully to keep each shot dynamic and secure. Holding a raised leg or crossed-leg posture for extended periods tested my balance, but seeing the results on camera made all the effort feel worthwhile.

From planning to execution, this series captured the iconic impression of Kisaki in a classroom. Manifesting an anime character in real life is a process of refining details and experimenting repeatedly. Every cosplay session feels like a dialogue across dimensions, requiring thoughtful interpretation of attire and body language. I hope this captures her at her best and provides plenty of inspiration for future shoots.
