The photoshoot of President Kisaki's holiday look is finally here! This time, I cosplayed Ryuge Kisaki from Blue Archive—since it was already mentioned in the post, no need to keep anyone guessing. For the location, I deliberately chose an outdoor space featuring palm trees and a swimming pool to evoke that laid-back seaside vacation vibe. The overall color palette was kept clean and straightforward, focusing on black, white, blue, and green for a crisp aesthetic.
The weather on the day of the shoot was fantastic, with bright, crystal-clear sunlight. The black halter-neck bikini paired with a lightweight, long black cover-up caught the light with a delicate, subtle sheen. For props, I brought along a long-handled black umbrella, which looked great both opened up and folded in hand. The wig had its bangs carefully trimmed, complemented by light-colored contacts, while the makeup leaned toward cool elegance, anchored by bold red lips. To capture her distinctive demeanor, I spent extra time blending the eye makeup, elongating the outer corners slightly to give the gaze added depth.
The costume was completely handmade by me, so I want to apologize in advance for any canon inaccuracies! Because I sourced the fabric and cut the patterns myself, the swimsuit cut and the drape of the cover-up might differ slightly from the original design. In particular, the wide sleeves of the cover-up took several fabric tests before I found a material with a satin-like texture that wasn't overly heavy. The straps and metal buckles on the swimsuit were also hand-stitched on piece by piece, which definitely tested my crafting patience. While the details might not be as seamless as factory-made pieces, I was genuinely pleased with how everything came together when worn.
The shoot itself was quite relaxed. I tried poses like crossing my legs on a white lounge chair, sitting by the edge of the pool dangling my feet over the water, and resting my chin in one hand while gazing at the lens. The photo with the umbrella opened on the lounge chair was originally just to block the harsh overhead glare, but it turned out to create gorgeous light and shadow across my face, casting clean shadows right over my shoulders and collarbone. The shot making a finger heart was meant to introduce a bit of contrast—it's always fun to see an aloof, cool character unexpectedly break into a cute gesture like that. A few other photos were taken sitting on wooden decking, where the wood grain provided a nice organic contrast against the all-black outfit, keeping the palette from feeling too dark.
We mostly went with wide shots and full-body framing this time, primarily to showcase leg lines and overall body proportions. The chunky platform heeled sandals were definitely tiring on the feet, especially when walking back and forth between the wooden deck and the poolside, requiring constant attention to balance. During touch-up breaks, I also had to make sure the wind didn't mess up the wig, as outdoor breezes quickly sweep away careful styling. Despite the little challenges along the way, seeing the finished shots made every bit of effort that day feel completely worthwhile.
When browsing through the photos, feel free to check out the smaller details, like the ribbon bow accents on the shoulders and the rings on my fingers. I'm really satisfied with the overall vacation ambiance of this shoot. Since the outfit was handmade, I paid extra attention to finding the right angles during the shoot to bring out its best features.
