This time, my partner and I completed a white studio photography session for Asuma Toki and Asuna from Blue Archive. The pure white background effectively highlights the unique character designs and color schemes of both characters. Toki's black-and-white maid outfit is paired with a tactical harness, where her blue bow tie and white prop gun form a unified palette. Asuna wears a simple white shirt with a dark pleated skirt, echoing her halo through sky-blue accessories. The visual effect of the duo combination is highly coordinated, with no redundant elements to cause distraction.

In handling the equipment and props, Toki's white prop gun has its own assembly details; to ensure stability when holding the gun, we adjusted some centers of gravity for the holding angles during the shoot, while also being careful not to let the gun body block her facial contours. Asuna's flaxen-colored long straight wig and the blue ribbon hair styling are crucial; matched with the wig's trimmed curves, we strove to recreate the agile yet clean lines of her character concept. The bow tie's material is satin, which yields an ideal luster under the studio lights. The bracket for the halo special effect is hidden on the back, and the floating effect in the final photos enhances the overall sci-fi atmosphere, forming great visual layers against the white background panels.

Regarding composition, we tried utilizing the height difference of a white square platform. The upper half retains the tension of Toki standing with her gun, while the lower half aligns with the casual vibe of Asuna's sitting pose. This positioning not only creates a depth of field between the foreground and background but also matches their physical traits in the original setting. The mid-to-close-up shot making a heart shape is perfect for a cover interaction; the pose was designed spontaneously on-site, requiring careful control of the finger and face placement to prevent the arms from blocking the view.

The white studio environment allows us to clearly record the fabric textures and the wig's sheen. This minimalist lighting style is highly friendly for controlling makeup reflections and costume details, though adjusting the aperture and shadow transitions alone took quite some time. Even though the shoot took a whole day, during which we had to continuously adjust the positioning of tactical attachments and the fluffiness of the maid dress, the final results successfully showcase the lighthearted bond between the characters. Being able to integrate my own understanding and production results into the characters' settings made it a truly meaningful photoshoot experience.
