[Misaki cosplay] Blue Archive: Cherry blossom Season JK uniform Outdoor Photoshoot Record

This shoot features Misaki from Blue Archive, choosing Kisaki's JK uniform styling. Paired with a white short-sleeve shirt and black pleated skirt under the spring Cherry blossom trees, it looks visually very refreshing.

Pre-shoot preparation was primarily focused on styling the costume and wig. The shirt collar is quite crisp, requiring repeated adjustments to the tie's tightness, while the pleats of the long black skirt needed neat ironing to achieve an elegant drape. To match the character image, a dark wig was prepared with an updo bun and long flowing hair, and the halo prop on the head required careful positioning during shooting. Since the character design includes white stockings, I specifically selected slightly sheer, well-fitting White stockings, paired with black loafers to look neat and clean in spring.

The photographer for this shoot was @高兴Henli, and the entire shooting process went very smoothly. The location was chosen along a Cherry blossom path beside a highway with guardrails, where the background cherry trees were in full bloom. We tried various framing angles. The first full-body shot looking back over the shoulder mainly showcased the swing of the pleated skirt and the drape of the long wig down the back, blending with the path and trees for a strong atmospheric vibe. The second half-body close-up utilized shallow depth of field in the background, gently resting my chin on my hand and gazing into the lens as soft light brushed across my face, highlighting the delicate makeup. The third full-body shot is my personal favorite: leaning against the metal highway guardrail with legs naturally crossed, where the White stockings and black shoes stood out vividly in the sunlight, creating a clean, centered composition. The fourth low-angle shot was unique, using Cherry blossom branches in front as natural foreground bokeh, concentrating visual focus on the tie and collarbones while clearly showcasing garment wrinkles and fabric textures.

Shooting in spring truly tests how one adapts to shifting light, and petals easily drift down in the wind, but fortunately the breeze wasn't strong that day and timing was well-managed. Because we aimed to recreate the character faithfully within a real-world environment, poses were adjusted many times—such as hand placement, hair flow, and skirt dynamics in the wind. This outfit was very comfortable to walk in with plenty of mobility, and paired with the character's serene expression, the entire session was relaxing. Post-processing appropriately balanced the tones, preserving the signature warm pink palette of the Cherry blossom season to make the imagery appear gentle and crisp.
