[Lucrezia Cosplay] Dark Wings in Brown Dust: Sharing Convention Photos

The convention photos from this event are finally organized, and I picked three angles I'm pretty satisfied with to post. The entire look is restored based on Lucrezia's classic image in Brown Dust. Although the character inherently carries a mysterious and elegant temperament in the game, I added a few modifications better suited for offline shooting when putting the outfit together. The white high-neck base shirt for the upper body actually had very carefully selected fabric—it needed to be elastic to fit the body curve without being too sheer, so I specifically chose a medium-thickness knit cotton. Black shorts paired with a leather belt and metal chains created just the right drape at the waist to lengthen body proportions, and the metal luster of the chains turned out amazingly under flash lights.

The highlight was naturally the giant pair of black wings on my back. This time I used velvety fabric with subtle shimmer for the feather pieces, cutting them piece by piece by hand and securing them onto a harness bracket at the waist. Although wearing it took up quite a bit of space, the intimidating aura when walking around with wings spread was exceptionally strong. To prevent the wings from looking bulky, the lower half was pieced together with a semi-transparent black gauze long train, which added a flowy feel while subtly revealing leg lines as I walked.

Black tights and shiny platform high heels were the combination I chose myself. The sheer degree of the tights was balanced just right, enhancing skin tone without looking stiff, while the heel height made my standing posture much more upright. For hairstyle, I did big curls with double side braids, paired with purple bow hair accessories to add a subtle color-block accent against the overall black-and-white theme. For makeup, the focus was on deep eyeliner and matte red lips, utilizing top and side lighting around the convention venue to make facial contours stand out with three-dimensional depth.

The pose in the second photo—lifting one leg while lightly pinching with a hand—was actually quite a test of balance, but it showcased the dynamic movement of the skirt hem and wings much better, and the photographer captured the exact moment the wing edges fluttered slightly. The first photo features a classic hands-on-hips standing pose, restoring the character's calm and imposing presence. The text on the third photo was added during editing; since many friends ask about the tights material, I directly labeled leggings/tights for easy outfit reference.

The atmosphere at the convention venue was fantastic this time, surrounded by many fellow fans exchanging prop-making and makeup tips. While shooting this set, I also ran into several passerby photographers who professionally helped me adjust lighting angles, making the entire shooting process extremely pleasant. The charm of cosplay lies in transforming 2D characters into tangible real-life presence through one's own interpretation; every step from fabric selection and tailoring to makeup and hair requires trial and error. This time, I tried three different belt structures just for the wing support before finally finding a solution that was stable without pinching the waist.

During post-processing, I only made basic fine-tuning to color temperature and contrast, retaining skin texture and fabric details without over-smoothing or liquifying, as the original photo lighting was already great. I believe authenticity is just as important as character aura—presenting details cleanly is the greatest respect for costumes and props.
