A tremendous amount of thought went into this Camellya look from Wuthering Waves, from early preparations right through to the live shoot at the convention. The World Line Anime Convention was packed that day, making full-body shots difficult to capture, so I specifically sought out a relatively open area. The wig was styled in advance; the large black-and-white bow on top and the red hair ribbons took quite some time to anchor securely to prevent wind from messing them up. The costume's overall color palette centers on white, accented with red and black. The skirt and lining feature intricate layering, with complex color-blocking and extensive cutouts. The red tattoo sticker on the chest serves as a focal decorative accent. To complete the look, I paired it with white open-toe high heels adorned with gold embellishments. The White stockings on the legs feature slender floral vine motifs and cutout designs at the thighs, making them far trickier to align properly than plain tights—careful adjustments were necessary so the patterns could flatter the leg lines. Posing for that single-leg standing full-body shot in the third photo was a real test of balance; fortunately, the photographer captured the exact right moment, bringing out both the fine details of the stockings and the dynamic flow of the dress. Carrying that translucent red flower prop all day made my hand a bit sore, but the final visual result made it worthwhile. The garment's cut certainly tests one's physique, as the black crisscross waist straps and leg lines stand out distinctly in full-body frames. To recreate the character's disposition, the eye makeup and red lip shade were tested multiple times. Touring the event floor in full gear led to being snapped by numerous photographers, generating plenty of raw footage. This costume features an abundance of delicate details—like the thin cords connecting shoulders to arms, the black wrist bangles, and the long red braid draping down the back—all of which required continuous tidying on set to prevent tangling. Meeting fellow players who recognized the look and chatting about nuances in makeup or props was truly delightful. After reviewing all the shots, I selected my favorites for this share. This cosplay journey felt thoroughly rewarding, with all pre-planned garments and props serving their purpose. For an outfit loaded with accessories and cutouts, doing an indoor test-fitting beforehand to lock down accessory placement is essential. Lighting at the World Line Anime Convention was also wonderful, hitting the white skirts to reveal their genuine texture. The overall visual impact of this look is striking, with the red, black, and white trio commanding attention. Next time, if opportunity allows, I hope to shoot another style in outdoor locations that match the character's lore even more closely.
