[Remielle cosplay] Wasteland Industrial Style in Zenless Zone Zero: Dark Black and Red Cinematic Shoot

For this Zenless Zone Zero Remielle shoot, the overall scene was set in a Dark Industrial Style wasteland aesthetic. To complement this black techwear look, we specifically scouted an abandoned warehouse stacked with oil barrels, chains, and old tires.

First, discussing the garment details: the combination of a snug black corset and sheer mesh long sleeves puts body shape to the test, yet offers exceptional texture. The silver star-shaped metal emblem and black crisscross straps on the chest serve as the visual centerpiece of the ensemble. To add layering, a crisp white collared shirt and black necktie were styled into the neckline. The lower half features an asymmetrical black pleated mini skirt paired with black stockings suspended by garter straps adorned with four-pointed star motifs. In terms of accessories, the red-and-black ribbon clips, cross bobby pins, and elf ears were almost entirely hand-adjusted for placement. The pink bob wig was trimmed with defined layers, which, paired with smudged pink-red eye makeup and light-colored contact lenses, instantly brought out the character's cool and aloof allure.

The pair of black faux-feather wings worn on my back was a massive undertaking; possessing noticeable weight, the harness straps had to be calibrated carefully, otherwise they easily tilted sideways mid-shoot. However, adding the wings effectively anchored the visual scale and spatial tension under a wide-angle lens.

Throughout the shoot, I explored a variety of poses. Perching diagonally on an oil drum with my left leg naturally bent—as shown in the second photo—allowed the lens to showcase the leg contours and garter stocking textures while highlighting the upper-body silhouette through the sheer mesh. The chest cutout design, the waist-cinching effect of the corset, and the reflective highlights of the silver stars all showed up vividly from this three-quarter perspective.

Working closely with the photographer, we spent a lot of time dialing in the lighting and shadow dynamics. On-set red fluorescent tubes, yellow hazard caution tape, and cold blue oil drums formed striking chromatic contrasts. We arranged red ambient fill lights in the background, utilizing high-contrast lighting to make the subject pop. For instance, when shooting medium close-ups, hand placement demanded careful attention—lightly lifting fingers or curling a fist in harmony with the facial angle allowed the eyes to project a mysterious, razor-sharp edge through the lens. Specular highlights bouncing off the stockings and patent leather surfaces added rich textural layers to the frame.

The entire shoot stretched from the afternoon well into nightfall, with continuous repositioning, angle changes, and lighting recalibrations. The wings' center of gravity left my shoulders quite sore, but reviewing the monitor and seeing the sharp contours carved out by light across the black garments and skin made every detail completely worth it. This photo set didn't rely on overly exaggerated posing, but rather focused on the synergy between garment textures, body silhouettes, and the immersive wasteland environment.
