[Remielle-9 cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero: Elf Angel in a Classical Atmosphere

This photoshoot features Remielle-9 from Zenless Zone Zero. To faithfully recreate this character, extensive preparations were made beforehand. I selected a bright pink wig with layered styling, topped with star hair clips and blue ribbons, along with custom elf ear props. For the makeup, pink-toned eyeshadow was applied to harmonize with the hair, paired with slightly elongated eyeliner and white eyelashes, while a vibrant red lipstick brought focus to the face. The outfit consists of a fantasy-style white dress adorned with a blue pendant, silver metal buckles on the chest, and wide flared sleeves, styled with white stockings and silver high heels on the lower half.

The pair of massive white feathered wings on my back was the highlight of this shoot. They had considerable weight, requiring careful strap adjustments and deliberate control of shoulder and back tension to ensure they looked effortlessly light on camera. The set design was meticulously arranged: a dark piano, red velvet fabric, a classical white birdcage, multi-arm candelabras, deep blue drapery, and background sculptures. This blend of classical and gothic aesthetics greatly inspired my posing. To best highlight the outfit, I tried a variety of poses—sitting on the piano, leaning against Roman pillars, kneeling, and lounging on the floor. Wearing white stockings and silver heels meant paying close attention to leg extension and silhouettes during leg lifts and stretches, ensuring elegance and propriety while maintaining a serene, subtly languid facial expression.

The lighting utilized a contrast of warm and cool tones, featuring a cool, ethereal blue key light balanced by the warm golden glow of the candelabras. The interplay of cool and warm light across the pink hair and white costume accentuated the textures beautifully. During seated and reclining shots, I continually adjusted my center of gravity and angles to keep the poses fluid and natural. The photographer's guidance was superb, working closely with me to explore different angles and make full use of every prop on set.

From costume fittings and makeup tests to the final shoot, the entire process was demanding but utterly worthwhile once I saw the final images. The charm of Remielle-9 lies not only in her distinct elf features, but also in her mysterious, subtly distant aura. I strived to capture this essence throughout the shoot, with delicate nuances from the gaze in my eyes down to the positioning of my fingertips. This set reflects my personal interpretation of the character's intricate details and mood.
