[Luo Tianyi Cosplay] Music Elf on the Stage of the Pure Blue Illusion Tour

From receiving the concept sheet to the final makeup look, preparing this outfit for the Luo Tianyi Pure Blue Illusion Tour took about a month of careful refinement. Due to the complex dress structure and the extremely long staff prop, presenting a light yet impactful visual effect on camera tested both photography coordination and expressive pose control.

The massive dark blue treble clef decoration on the chest serves as the soul of the entire look. To maintain its glossy sheen while distinguishing its texture from surrounding silver metal accents, I specifically chose a hard, reflective material. Below the skirt, a silver metal cage structure resembling harp strings produced swaying light and shadows during movement, creating a delightfully translucent refraction effect. Multiple layers of ruffled lace were stacked at the neckline and cuffs; to achieve the fluffy, soft flow shown in the art, invisible structural supports were added inside.

The wig featured an airy light ice-blue tone. Recreating the curved ring bangs on the forehead from the concept art took nearly two hours of trimming, thinning, and styling. Small flower accessories among the hair were manually inserted one by one, with fine hairclips and wire pins hidden at the roots to keep it looking naturally voluminous. The gloves featured delicate lace trimming; adjusting glove folds and wrist tightness to harmonize with the matching ice-blue palette took careful effort. On my feet, white lace-up high heels paired with translucent white stockings elongated leg lines beautifully under Dutch angles, keeping the lower body looking light without sacrificing comfort.

The set construction for this shoot was ingeniously designed—white carved pillars paired with blue-and-white stained-glass windows cast a sacred, soft light across the space. The photographer brought in clusters of blue hydrangeas and floating golden picture frames, which, alongside the slender staff topped with a golden hollowed treble clef, created a dreamy illusion of standing inside a Western magical sanctuary.

Photos 2 and 3 utilized unconventional tilted compositions (Dutch angles) to introduce dynamic ascending and rotating motion into static images. Holding the staff in tilted balance while sweeping my arms took dozens of retakes. Though my legs grew a bit sore, seeing the airy, translucent results was immensely satisfying. People often ask how large-scale props are handled in post-processing; in truth, controlling lighting in a soft high-key range during the shoot using reflectors and softboxes ensures fabric textures and metal glints are captured clearly. Post-processing focuses mainly on color unifying—finely polishing highlight brightness and shadow blue saturation to impart an elegant cool-toned aesthetic.

Standing before the camera, I envisioned myself as the singer on stage. The tour theme \"Pure Blue Illusion\" complemented this gorgeous music-themed cosplay dress wonderfully. Seeing myself under the stained-glass light in the final shots, I felt the music elf atmosphere came through beautifully.
