Shooting this set of Firefly cosplay from Honkai: Star Rail was primarily about capturing the quiet, gentle side of her character. Rather than dynamic action poses, closing my eyes under warm side-backlighting felt naturally sincere.

For makeup, a translucent matte base suited Firefly's fair complexion, paired with earth-tone eye shadow and subtle shimmer to convey relaxed softness. The custom wig transitioned from white to mint green, requiring patient styling with irons and spray to hold natural curves along the bangs and sideburns. Her classic brown jacket with white-and-teal paneled design featured ruffled cuffs, layered over a light teal inner dress made of pearlescent fabric that caught subtle rim light. Side hair ornaments were secured with hidden headband structures inside the wig net to maintain crisp close-ups, while brown arm guards contoured smoothly around the wrists.

Set in a studio with grid windows framed by sunflowers and dried florals, the photographer used warm side-backlighting to simulate summer afternoon sun, creating glowing halos around hair strands.
