Shooting this set of Marie Rose cosplay photos on the yacht in bright sunlight truly yielded fantastic results—the azure sky, white yacht hull, and this dark-navy high-cut swimsuit complemented each other in a delightfully refreshing way. The red bow on the chest and white ruffles at the neckline are highly recognizable signature details of this outfit, which, paired with the dark thigh strap, beautifully contoured the character's playful charm and petite physique. The twin-tails hairstyle was especially eye-catching in an outdoor setting like a yacht; even as the sea breeze blew across, it never looked messy, instead adding plenty of dynamic tension in this Twin tails cosplay.

Lighting on the day of the shoot was exceptionally abundant with direct sunlight hitting the yacht deck, making reflectors particularly essential to prevent deep shadows across the face. To capture skin texture and garment fabric with luminous transparency under harsh light, the photographer and I adjusted angles back and forth several times. Photo 1 features sitting sideways on the deck cushions holding a transparent sunscreen spray or juice, creating a relaxed yacht vacation vibe. Photo 2 features sitting on the wooden steps leading below deck—a composition with distinct perspective depth making the figure stand out three-dimensionally, while a casual wave maximizes the character's approachable warmth. Photo 3 is a standing pose with hands on hips and slightly lifting one side of the white ruffled hemline, which elongates the leg lines and fits the character's confident, slightly mischievous "little devil" persona in Dead or Alive.

Everyone might notice that during the photoshoot in this high-cut swimsuit, there's naturally a risk of accidental exposure during dynamic poses. Therefore, during post-processing, I used AI tools to clean up and refine the framing to ensure the viewing experience remains tasteful, secure, and elegant. For this exact reason, this photo set is better split into Part 1 and Part 2. If you all enjoy it, once engagement picks up, I will share Part 2!

Speaking of which, this shoot was completed during a Jiangmen photoshoot booking trip. The docks and waterways in Jiangmen are surprisingly well-suited for yacht-themed outdoor sets, delivering a complete vacation ambiance without needing to travel to distant coastal cities. Responding to that classic question in the post description—"Can a phone even run graphics of this quality?"—it's actually quite amusing. We consciously fine-tuned the color grading and lighting in post-processing to create an almost unreal ultra-high-definition texture, making it easy for people to mistake it for a CG screenshot from a PC or mobile game.

Regarding the character Marie Rose, her design inherently leans toward agile liveliness and nimble grace. When designing poses, I tried to avoid stiff, static standing poses and instead utilized ambient props on the yacht—such as stairs, railings, and cushions—to help the whole figure relax naturally in the frame, making it much easier to channel the character's true essence. The garment fabric is also worth highlighting: the entire high-cut one-piece has a subtle sheen under the sunlight rather than being completely matte, creating a great textural contrast between the fabric and skin across the frame.

The photos released currently are just part of Part 1, focusing on bright, open poses. In Part 2, I might select perspectives with more storytelling or interactive nuance. This Yacht photoshoot also allowed me to summarize valuable experience: in outdoor natural lighting conditions, achieving high-end cosplay photos relies not only on preparing costumes and props, but on mastering light control and facial expression coordination. I hope this share offers helpful references to fellow cosplayers who love beach and yacht-themed outdoor shoots!
