[Marie Rose Cosplay] Crimson Rose in Dead or Alive: Nice to Meet You!

"I will make you bloom like a crimson rose"—this is Marie Rose's signature line and the core feeling this shoot aims to convey.

Nice to meet you, I'm Marie Rose. In the world of Dead or Alive, I always wear a sweet smile, but those who know me well know that once in combat, my skills offer no mercy. This time, I bring a fluffy-themed realistic photoshoot set that closely fits Marie Rose's sweet setting.

For outfit and makeup coordination, I chose a pure white plush bandeau top with matching material bottoms, paired with a white furry choker around the neck. The small bell right in the center is an indispensable soul accent. Fluffy cuffs were also worn on wrists to make the entire look soft and adorable. Golden twin-tails were tied with wide black bows, accurately restoring the character's signature hairstyle. To highlight character traits, I avoided overly blended eye shadows, instead using clean blue contacts combined with a translucent base makeup to emphasize an innocent, guiltless look.

For locations, I deliberately selected two very iconic settings. The first is a bedroom covered in pink bedding, using plenty of pink and white plush toys as props—like that huge pink teddy bear and small white seal—perfectly matching the character's child-like heart and love for stuffed dolls. In this environment, you can see her soft, completely relaxed side.

The second setting is inside a claw machine, which was super fun. Crouching inside to find a comfortable pose was quite a workout, but this unique setup subtly echoes Marie Rose's petite frame and her usual confident, teasing personality toward opponents. Inside the claw machine, I raised my leg to show off the lines of my White over-the-knee socks, while attempting to recreate Marie Rose's nimble physicality and explosive power in fighting.

The weather on shooting day was great. The photographer used bright softbox lighting, giving the entire frame a dreamy cream-white texture. Post-processing intentionally preserved this translucent, bright high-key style while minimizing shadows, as Marie Rose herself is a dazzling, doll-like character. Though she has a ruthless side, in this set of photos, I wanted to show her cute, playful nature and that subtle innocence she can't hide.

Every strap on the outfit, the curve of every bowknot, and even the texture of the fluff caught in the breeze—the photographer and I fine-tuned these repeatedly to capture the most natural and authentic feel. I hope these photos allow everyone to feel the true charm of Marie Rose—an unpredictable yet utterly irresistible character.
