Shooting this ice crystal Rem themed set, paired with a large white feather chair and light blue-and-white floral arrangements, gives the overall translucency more breathing room compared to conventional dark-toned studio shoots. Regarding the details of this look, the wig uses a matte-textured light blue base color, with the bangs trimmed into a curve that covers the right eye, paired with small pink hairpins on both sides to recreate Rem's inherent playfulness as much as possible. The headpiece manually overlays a layer of transparent rhinestones and star-shaped accessories on top of the existing ice crystal crown, hoping to achieve the visual effect of condensed crushed ice.

In terms of the costume, instead of the conventional maid miniskirt, I switched to this fluffy blue-and-white off-the-shoulder gauze dress. The skirt hem features layered ruffles, combined with a patchwork of stiff tulle and sequin materials; the moment the shutter clicks, the light refracting off the fabric creates a very noticeable glitter effect. To balance the gorgeousness of the dress, the detached sleeves on the arms feature a separated design, making it visually more refreshing. For shoe pairing, I chose a pair of white chunky-heeled Mary Janes with a stiffer texture, which elongates the leg lines while forming a unified visual extension with the white stockings.

For the makeup design, I hoped to highlight Rem's cool yet gentle traits. A blue-gray gradient eyeshadow was used on the eyes to deepen the contours, paired with slightly elongated eyeliner at the outer corners and light-colored contacts, allowing her gaze to maintain a highlighted focus even when the lighting is soft. Since the entire scene is dominated by cool tones, a glossy raspberry shade was chosen for the lips to prevent looking pale under the lens.

During this photography session, I communicated with the photographer for a long time, mainly on the positioning of light and shadow. The light we wanted wasn't an intensely harsh, hard light; instead, we placed two softboxes in front of and to the side-back of the person, allowing the light to filter through the edges of the gauze dress to create a fluffy, soft glow, so that the person blends more naturally with the white feather seat. The vintage metal candlestick on the side and the blue petals scattered on the floor added some warm-and-cool contrast to the originally pure white scene.

Performing this cosplay was actually quite a test of joint mobility freedom, as there are too many layers on the skirt hem, and moving even slightly would bump into the nearby floral arrangements. Fortunately, the final photos hid this sense of restraint very well. Overall, this can be considered an experiment with a different look for the 2D character, and I hope this set of cool-toned photos can showcase another side of Rem.
