For this Anime convention street snap at Firefly ACG Expo, I chose this red and black Wuthering Waves costume. This styling actually features immense detail: white sheer chiffon in front, golden chain accents along the sides, and black lace borders, which together demanded real patience during prep. In the morning, styling the twin red buns alone—coiling the hair and securing the gold ornaments—took over an hour. The makeup featured reddish eyeshadow and crimson contact lenses, complemented by facial markings to project a sharp, cool edge. The venue was more crowded than anticipated, so to steer clear of pedestrians, we scouted a safe roadside spot for shooting. With warm yellow guardrails and lush greenery in the background, the red hair popped with vibrant brightness. Photographer LT.HUNTER was exceptionally professional, guiding me through diverse poses across waist-up portraits and full-body frames. Full-body framing highlighted the gown's hemline and leg silhouettes, paired with black ankle boots to radiate both commanding aura and slender leg length. Spectators stopped by throughout the shoot, with occasional snapshots taken by passersby. The pure joy of an Anime convention cosplay lies precisely in this—documenting beloved aesthetic inspirations through the art of photography (even though this was a Wuthering Waves inspired original concept rather than a named character). The weather remained pleasantly temperate with gorgeous daylight; while the attire carried some weight and walking in heels caused leg fatigue over time, reviewing the raw shots made every effort worthwhile. It was a thoroughly enjoyable creative journey, harmonizing smoothly with photography peers to capture the crisp, cold elegance intrinsic to this ensemble.
