The theme for this photoshoot was the KFC collaboration skin of Sunna from Zenless Zone Zero. When I received this costume, the white plush texture felt exceptionally fitting for the character—capturing that sweet-girl charm mixed with occasional tsundere flair. The entire shooting process was truly engaging; because the venue was staged in an industrial warehouse setting, the red shipping containers and black oil drums formed a sharp visual contrast with Sunna's pink-and-white outfit, creating a surprisingly harmonious aesthetic.

Let's start with the makeup and styling. To make Sunna's white-haired aesthetic look more natural, styling the wig took quite a while, with the signature mint-green hair ornament and heart-shaped sunglasses serving as the soul of the look. For eye makeup, I deliberately deepened the red blush at the outer corners of the eyes so that even under film-style color grading, the gaze retained a lively sparkle. The bell on the choker was a delicate touch, producing subtle jingling sounds during movements that added wonderful atmospheric immersion.

Regarding the gear for this shoot, using a Sony A7M5 paired with the 24-70mm F2.8 GM II lens for studio work delivered fantastic autofocus and resolving power, especially in an industrial warehouse scene with complex lighting. We put considerable thought into the lighting setup; since this was a KFC collaboration theme, we didn't want the tone to feel too cold, so the fill lights carried a hint of warmth. The photographer guided me to interact naturally with the set—such as perching on an oil drum or leaning beside white barrels—which captured Sunna's energetic, mischievous personality without looking rigid.

When planning this theme, the goal was to create a distinct atmospheric vibe. Instead of following a conventional sweet-girl aesthetic, we infused industrial elements, which aligns nicely with the gritty undertones of Zenless Zone Zero. The shoot also challenged various dynamic postures; for instance, the final reaching-out pose required precise perspective control while maintaining the correct facial angle, testing physical coordination.

I chose a richly layered outfit with detachable arm sleeves, a multi-tiered pleated skirt, and lace-up corset details, achieving a sweet yet structured design. The corset laces were a focal point, sculpting the waistline when cinched. In seated or crouching poses, expressing the lines of the waist and legs was crucial, so I spent time adjusting my posture to showcase the best angles before the lens. To capture playful, meme-inspired dynamic shots, I brought a small yellow prop to strike poses that felt both haughty and undeniably adorable.

Many might wonder about the pursuit of texture in collaboration-themed cosplay. The biggest difference is that collaboration skins often feature specific brand color accents—like the crisp pairing of red and white—alongside distinct motifs. During shooting, I paid special attention to the positioning of the red bows and bell choker, as these localized highlights make the character appear more dimensional. Behind every photo were repeated refinements in angles, expressions, and costume nuances.

I prepared thoroughly beforehand. To enhance the collaboration atmosphere, I brought tailored props. The oil drums added an authentic industrial roughness that injected a touch of strength into the outfit's softness. Compared to a plain studio backdrop, scenes with real-world or industrial flavor make it much easier to immerse into character.

This theme was about celebrating a fun meme while capturing a special collaboration milestone. Despite the complex lighting, having reliable gear ensured a very high keeper rate. The highlights catching the wig strands revealed a surprising translucency. The White thigh-highs outfit paired with chunky block heels made the overall silhouette sharper while adding a luminous highlight to the lower body.

As a full official photoshoot, the photography team and I dedicated immense care to showcasing every garment detail. Whether in close-up portraits or full-body seated and standing poses, we aimed to faithfully bring the in-game character to life. Sunna possesses a unique personal charm, and translating that charm into visual art before the lens is a creative journey I continually explore.

After wrapping up, I reflected on how every cosplay project is more than surface imitation—it is a conduit of emotion. With the KFC collaboration as the anchor and the industrial set providing narrative depth, the imagery transformed into a story-rich visual. I am thoroughly pleased with the overall texture and hope this set conveys the essence of Sunna cosplay to everyone.
