For this Cartethyia Cosplay session, a lot of thought actually went into the costume details. The main black dress paired with a white outer layer and blue-and-white gradient ribbons creates a very rich sense of layering. The blue branch-shaped headpiece and elf ears are the soul of the look, and the wig was specifically braided to restore that ethereal temperament.
During the shoot, we chose this setting with stained glass and blue-and-white flower clusters. The light filtering through the glass perfectly echoes the refreshing feel of the blue-and-white color scheme on the character. Actually, the hardest part of the cosplay process is maintaining that indifferent yet slightly mysterious gaze; after all, Cartethyia is a character with a deep sense of story in the lore of Wuthering Waves.
To capture a flowing effect, the positions of the ribbons and skirt hem were adjusted many times. We tried both sitting and standing poses in the pictures, ultimately choosing these few shots where the composition felt more comfortable. Cool-toned eyeshadow was used in the makeup to highlight the blue pupils, reinforcing the elf setting.
Although the set design was very dreamy, the indoor temperature was actually quite high during the actual shoot. Wearing these clothes and accessories was indeed a bit stuffy, but seeing the final photos makes it all feel worth it. Prop details such as the ankle chains and the silver accessories on the hands were kept as seamless as possible. This attempt serves as an expression of my own understanding of the character, and I hope everyone can feel her unique atmosphere through this piece of cosplay. I'm thrilled to share this creative work with everyone as part of the Fan Content Festival!
