[Ereshkigal cosplay] The Underworld Goddess and Beast Form in Fate/Grand Order: Mainly All About Master Love

From initial preparations to final completion, the moment I actually put on this Ereshkigal cosplay costume, I fully understood why everyone says cosplay is a painful yet joyful experience. Today there are no tedious stage setups, purely taking out my phone to record my most authentic cosplay state. Let's get straight to the point and share my styling and outfit thoughts on this "Goddess and Beast" form.

For the wig, I selected a light golden shade, applying special texturizing at the roots to create airiness at the crown. Long curly hair on both sides needs to drape flawlessly over the shoulders to frame the face while adding significant grandeur in frontal shots. The most headache-inducing part was the matching geometric blue crown and big blue bow headpiece, requiring absolute symmetry in styling and consideration for all-day wearing comfort when secured. To adjust to the most perfect angle, I tried it on repeatedly before the mirror for a long time, also keeping constant watch for headpiece shifting during the actual shoot.

The top features a refreshing water blue paired with pure white, with the metal ring around the neck serving as a finishing touch. Combined with ruffled collar pleats and black four-petal flowers, it carries a solemn yet gentle aura. The waist design is exceptionally clever: three rows of golden crescent moon decorations are embedded across a dark grey base, yielding sleek lines where even a slight glimpse of the waist in frame exudes a mythical character's high-end elegance. My absolute favorite is the lower body's multi-layered white ruffled skirt, which, paired with carefully chosen white Stockings under a high-slit skirt design, flatters leg lines perfectly. One could say this costume design hits my aesthetic preferences completely—blending a goddess's aloof mystery with the character's anime cuteness.

Turning to makeup and eye expression delivery. To match the character, I chose light grey contact lenses paired with dense, curled eyelashes and eyeliner to intentionally amplify eye depth. Lip makeup avoided overly flamboyant colors, opting instead for a mature, steady red tone fitting her underlying "Mistress of the Underworld" identity in Fate/Grand Order. Looking closely at details in photos two and three, you can see reflective textures on makeup and metallic garment parts, which I preserved realistically without using filters to flatten everything forcefully. I believe eye expression is paramount to portraying that "master love" temperament. Ereshkigal's tsundere care for her Master in Chaldea lore requires subtle brow-knitting and focused gazes to convey. After all, switching between goddess and beast forms possesses a strong gap moe; mastering this temperament is far tougher than simply piling on outfit details.

The shooting background this time was actually very casual—just an ordinary indoor corner, with a messy desk right beside it. Lacking auxiliary lighting, composition and focusing relied entirely on the mirror ahead. I actually quite enjoy this self-record during preparation, as it intuitively shows the realistic effect of wearing an outfit while letting me reflect from an audience perspective on which details still need tweaking. For instance, the full-body view in photo one serves mainly to demonstrate proportions between white Stockings and the skirt hem. Within frame, the skirt hem and white stockings echo each other, delivering both layered texture and a touch of playfulness. While this mirror selfie lacks the polished refinement of professional studio lighting, it adds an approachable intimacy without distance.

To better present this look, I expended considerable effort on wig trimming and contact lens fitting. Light golden wigs easily look fake or frizzy if handled improperly, so before every outing in this outfit, I spend time patiently combing hair strands to make every curl curve smooth and natural. Collar ruffles and white glove textures are also well reflected in the image. Especially when posing gestures while wearing gloves, that anime character's lively feel pops out instantly.

Lastly, I want to say that good cosplay isn't just about wearing the right clothes, but capturing the character's soul. Although today was just taking a few mirror photos in a messy indoor space, I believe as long as gaze and aura are in place, everyone can feel the care behind this Ereshkigal cosplay look.
