[Remielle cosplay] The Descent of an Angel in Zenless Zone Zero

For this Zenless Zone Zero Remielle cosplay shoot, we utilized a low-angle wide-angle lens perspective, using strong perspective distortion to enhance the visual impact of the legs and feathers (Feather skirt cosplay). Because the character carries an angelic motif, we chose an industrial-style studio, utilizing the massive glass curtain wall behind me as the main light source. Backlight striking the white feathers and sheer tulle created a luminous translucence along the edges. To highlight the White tights cosplay and leg lines, I placed my weight on one leg while letting the other hang down naturally. This seated pose was actually a huge test of core strength: the black barstool had a small surface, and the feathered skirt was quite heavy, requiring over ten minutes of adjustments to keep the feathers from trailing messily on the floor.

In terms of hair and makeup, I paired short pink hair with Elf ears cosplay; a translucent base makeup combined with soft eye makeup emphasized focused eye contact, conveying a hint of aloofness and playfulness when looking down into the lens. The prop wings were secured on the inner side to ensure they draped naturally rather than jutting out rigidly behind my back. Because of the low angle, facial lighting was crucial, requiring subtle fill light from a reflector below. In post-processing, we only slightly darkened the background shadows, preserving the highlight details and translucency of the feathers while enhancing dimensional light and shadow on the legs.

Remielle features a very pure color palette, yet her character design carries a proud, divine aura, so I carefully controlled my expressions—not overly sweet, maintaining a subtle sense of distance. From location choice and composition to the final edits, this set strives to recreate the tranquility of that moment. The shoot was quite demanding: managing the flow of heavy props while staying relaxed on camera was tough. White outfits get dirty easily, so everyone was extremely careful before shooting. This attempt with an industrial backdrop of geometric lines created a striking contrast with the soft white tulle, perfectly matching the distinctive aesthetics of the Zenless Zone Zero universe.
