Choosing a locker room setting for this shoot was primarily aimed at highlighting the vibrant energy of an athletic girl. For the wardrobe, I prepared a white short-sleeve T-shirt with blue piping and matching sports shorts; the lightweight, form-fitting fabric accentuated body curves smoothly, complemented by over-the-knee White stockings to visually lengthen leg proportions. The wig chosen was a light flax blonde, cut with straight bangs and styled into a single side ponytail on the right according to the original character design, accented by a bright blue ribbon hairband for a wonderfully refreshing color match.
Harmony between props and scenery was also paramount. Weathered metal lockers, wooden flooring, and a white upholstered bench composed a frame with rich visual depth. To heighten the athletic atmosphere, we brought in a wooden baseball bat, which served not only as a fun interactive prop but also as a visual lead in the composition.
Throughout the shoot, the lighting design relied mainly on warm side-rim lighting, which sculpted natural skin textures while casting clean contour highlights along the edges of the white tee and over-the-knee socks. In terms of pose design, I explored several distinct states: the first with hands behind my head, a posture that beautifully showcases upper-body curves while naturally drawing focus toward the midriff and legs; the second seated cross-legged on the bench, using the baseball bat as support while playfully poking out my tongue to convey relaxed mischief—an angle that particularly flatter the texture of the white stockings and thigh contours; the third leaning slightly forward with hands clasped across my lap and gaze fixed on the camera, projecting a quiet, approachable warmth.
For facial expressions, I aimed for a relaxed ease balanced between athletic movement and casual everyday life. The makeup featured an expanded blush area and blue-grey contacts to give the eyes a crystal-clear look echoing the blue accents of the attire. A dewy, glossy pink lip tint completed a clean and translucent makeup finish.
When shooting sporty characters, fluid extension and natural ease are essential to prevent any stiffness. Before each shutter click, I adjusted my breathing rhythm, dropping my shoulders to keep the neck line relaxed. The photographer continually coached me to try varying gaze angles—looking directly at the lens, glancing to the side, or looking up slightly to capture diverse emotional nuances.
During final photo selection, I leaned toward shots filled with dynamic movement and expressive warmth. The color contrast is bold: the combination of white, blue, and natural wood tones keeps the frame crisp and clean, achieving the desired effect without excessive color grading. While changing outfits and recalibrating poses was physically demanding, seeing such radiant energy captured on camera made every moment thoroughly worthwhile.
