Wearing this black, red, and white Gothic style dress was quite a test of patience—adjusting the back lacing and front corset structure alone took a considerable amount of time. The white fabric features subtle jacquard textures, and the skirt hem has multiple layers of ruffles, requiring special care to maintain its shape when sitting or walking. The black long gloves feel great, and with the ruby accent at the neckline, the overall visual contrast is sharp and striking. The wig is styled into orange twintails with just the right amount of luster, accented with black ribbons on both sides. It felt quite heavy, but solid internal support was built in to achieve the accurate crown volume. The blue contacts have a relatively large diameter, causing dry eyes when worn for a while, so I had to frequently apply eye drops during the shoot to keep my gaze sparkling and clear.
This photoshoot was set in an outdoor plaza featuring a massive EVA Unit-01 statue. The first few close-ups were shot under soft lighting while I held a matching miniature plush doll, using its front and profile angles to enrich the composition—the doll's outfit details were crafted delicately as well. Actually, this kind of white dress gets dirty very easily, especially around the waist and bottom hem; before shooting, I even used a stain-remover pen on the dust smudged onto the cuffs.
For the two full-body shots taken alongside the giant Unit-01, the photographer adopted a low-angle upward perspective. Bathed in the warm sunlight of the golden hour, wearing a pair of over-the-knee Black and white striped stockings and standing before that imposing colossal mecha under natural backlighting transformed the visual impact entirely. Due to height proportions, I had to turn slightly sideways and raise an arm to create visual resonance with the mecha's massive frame. There were many onlookers watching during the shoot, which made me a bit nervous. However, I am extremely satisfied with the full-body composition—the leg contours and the elegant drape of the dress were captured perfectly.
Even though the lace, corset, and internal lacing forced me to stand during breaks rather than sit down, and the large twintail wig easily blocked my view in the strong outdoor wind, the overall fidelity was exceptionally high. Merging this softer Gothic style with an intensely mechanical scene yielded a set of cosplay photos full of visual tension.
