This time, the Minami Kotori snow-bird style styling underwent a lot of deliberation on costume details. The main color scheme of the entire outfit is white and sky blue, which perfectly matches her energetic yet gentle personality. The top is a navel-baring camisole style with a delicate layer of ruffles along the edge. To achieve that lightweight feel, the waist cut is very tight, requiring me to keep my stomach pulled in throughout the shoot. The skirt on the lower body is a blue-and-white pleated ultra-short skirt with built-in white under-lace, which makes it much less likely to have accidental exposure when performing big movements like seiza kneeling or reaching out, offering a relatively high safety coefficient.
The most distinctive feature is still the leg pairing. This time I wore over-the-knee stockings with an asymmetrical design: the right leg is blue-and-white striped, while the left leg is pure white, both with lace and thin blue ribbon ties at the cuffs. This asymmetrical design has a strong visual impact and can also elongate the leg lines. However, these stockings tend to slide down easily, so the sock cuffs had to be adjusted frequently during the shoot. To match the overall styling, ruffled arm sleeves were worn on the arms, and a matching striped bow tie was tied around the neck. The white plush bird toy on my shoulder was added by myself, fitting the character's name perfectly. The magic wand with blue-and-white stripes and plush decorations in hand was also a prop specially prepared for this shoot.
Regarding the wig, styling the light gold long curly hair took quite a bit of time, especially the curves of the bangs and sideburns, which needed to be carefully ironed out with a flat iron. The headwear part is quite gorgeous, using blue-and-white patterned lace and metallic-textured small accessories, which create a reflective effect under the lighting, looking extremely exquisite. Although the face was blocked by a phone in the photos, I still tried to keep relaxed in expression management, matching some arm-stretching or one-hand-on-hip poses to increase the dynamic feel of the frame.
A bit of thought was also put into the background layout: the light blue air conditioner cover with a 2D anime eye pattern and the model shelves nearby made the room's atmosphere closer to the 2D world. The lighting during the shoot was chosen to be bright and soft cool white light as much as possible, which makes the skin tone look fairer and better fits the tone of this outfit. To showcase a better body shape during this photo shoot, I maintained a chest-out, stomach-in posture the whole time, which was actually quite physically demanding, especially for the standing shots where the insteps had to be pointed straight to make the legs look longer. Overall, this Minami Kotori snow-bird derivative outfit put a lot of effort into the accuracy of costume and props, and I hope it presents a great effect to everyone.
