This time, the Hsin cosplay costume made many contrast trials in materials. The black waist corset on the upper body chose a relatively hard leather texture for shaping, and the blue gemstone on the chest is the visual center. To create a three-dimensional layered feel for the surrounding golden metal frame, the fixed angle was adjusted repeatedly. The red outer garment used a lightweight and strongly draping fabric. To give it better tension when spreading out on the water surface, the lining also underwent special shaping treatment. The animal ears prop on top of the head took quite a bit of time from fur selection and trimming the hair flow to installing the golden metal pieces to ensure it looks natural and spirited.

In terms of makeup, the focus was placed on depicting the eyes, using a dark reddish eyeshadow for large-area blending, combined with elongated eye tails and the red accent in the middle of the forehead, highlighting the character's sharp gaze that carries a hint of demonic charm. The red totem on the right forearm was hand-painted; to keep it from fading during a whole day of shooting, multi-layered base and setting treatments were done. The styling of the wig also requires care; the layered feel of interwoven silver and black needs to be teased out strand by strand to avoid stiffness and present an orderly-in-chaos texture.

The design of the shooting scene was meant to match the overall cool and stern color tone. The background used a dark blue-gray backdrop, with a black vase and withered branches placed on the right, practicing subtraction to make the frame cleaner. To shoot that set of water reflections, we built a shallow pool at the shooting venue. The hardest part during the shooting was controlling the light and reflections on the water surface; lights cannot shine directly onto the water surface, otherwise the reflections will be overexposed. It requires a softbox for side-backlighting, which not only illuminates the main character subject but also allows the water reflections to be clearly presented.

In terms of action design, to fit that cold yet dangerous temperament, I chose a kneeling posture, crossing my hands in front of my chest, keeping my core tight and posture upright, spreading the red skirt hem as wide as possible at the sides. The two pictures captured different visual focal points respectively: one has the dynamic feel brought by water ripples, while the other is a more pure static display, leaving the focus entirely to clothing details and character emotions. The whole process required constantly adjusting the center of gravity and breathing to ensure that the moment the camera shutter is clicked, both the gaze and limbs are in the most stable state. I really enjoy the process of restoring the images in my mind bit by bit, and I hope the final photos can convey that special atmosphere.
