Taking advantage of the rainy night, I shot a set of Zenless Zone Zero Belle cosplay. As a Proxy in Zenless Zone Zero, Belle's character actually has a rich sense of 2D daily life. It happened to be a rainy day, and the combination of a transparent umbrella and nighttime neon lights instantly pushed the atmospheric feel to the max.

To restore the character's feel, the wig was specially trimmed to capture the layered look of a Japanese-style short haircut and tied into low twin tails. Paired with her signature orange hairpins and yellow hairbands, I felt my energy instantly pop out. For the outfit, I chose a lightweight and breathable white-based color-blocked top accented with small yellow flowers and fresh wavy lines, along with a cyan bracelet. The bold use of colors perfectly fits the character's lively and agile daily styling. In fact, cosplay is not just about putting on the clothes; it's about understanding how this character would walk and hold an umbrella on a rainy day—like tilting the umbrella slightly and relaxing the shoulders just a bit so that the entire posture looks as natural as waiting for a chance encounter.

This shoot specifically chose the riverside and city nightscapes as the backdrop, where the rainwater-puddled ground could reflect the brilliant light bokeh from distant buildings. During the shoot, the most interesting part was using the transparent umbrella to catch the raindrops. Focusing through the umbrella surface covered in water droplets created a hazy, dreamy feel. I was super excited when the raw plates came out—splashing water, twirling the umbrella, and looking back at the camera completely brought out a strong cinematic film texture. With the light spots and night rain, the overall color tone leaned cool, but through the warm elements on the costume, it made the frame look highly vibrant, presenting a powerful sense of storytelling without complex filters.

Just like I wrote in the title, tomorrow I plan to head offline to visit the ChaPanda and Zenless Zone Zero themed collaboration store. As an experientialist, every offline event is actually quite healing; I can feel that this character is loved by everyone in another dimension. If you happen to be going there to check in as well, you might just run into me in person! One of my original intentions in doing cosplay is to create more opportunities to meet up with fellow fans. Hanging out at conventions and visiting theme stores feels completely different from shooting studio photos in a photo studio; there is much more everyday life flavor and random situations, but it's also much more fun.

Recently, I re-evaluated my cosplay techniques and increasingly feel that good photos don't actually need complex post-production. Finding the right character traits with makeup, letting the eyes and body language follow the context, and skillfully utilizing scene elements can beautifully convey the character's personality. This rainy night view with an umbrella can be considered a new attempt for my own photography style. If I go to the theme store tomorrow, I will probably take some casual store-visiting return photos along the way, hoping to meet fellow Proxies who play together.

Finally, although this photoset only reveals a small portion of the finished photoshoot, it counts as my sincere interpretation of the character Belle recently. If anyone is curious or has questions about makeup and hair for night photography cosplay, feel free to exchange thoughts.
