This parallel world JK-themed Hyacinthia outfit had all the necessary accessories bought right when the PV came out, but due to various reasons, it kept getting delayed until now to finally be officially shot. This time, I wanted to combine Hyacinthia's vibe of being slightly mischievous yet extremely cute into an everyday JK uniform. To present a better effect, I deliberately chose a wig with a mint green gradient highlight on a pink base. However, styling a wig of this color really requires some patience; I re-trimmed and teased the arcs of the twin tails for a long time, and to keep it from looking frizzy, I used quite a bit of care solution. Coupled with the white plush hair accessories, the overall fluffy and two-dimensional feel came out, which is also to echo certain original features of the character.
In terms of makeup, to match the pink-toned hair, the contact lenses were chosen as clear bright green, and the eye makeup intensified the smudging of the eyelashes and under-eye blush. In two-dimensional makeup replication, the handling of under-eye blush and eyelashes can greatly alter a person's temperament, making the character look more like she stepped right out of the screen. The base makeup was kept as clean and translucent as possible, and the lip makeup used a light pink, focusing on highlighting the color contrast of the eye area. Because it was shot indoors with relatively uniform lighting, the pigmentation of the makeup needed to be repeatedly confirmed in front of the mirror beforehand.
As for the clothing, I chose a basic white short-sleeve shirt paired with a blue-and-white striped tie, matched with a dark blue pleated skirt below. To better fit the well-behaved feel of a student setting, I specially wore white knee-high/calf socks and brown loafers. The fit of the shirt and the pleats of the skirt were also ironed in advance to ensure a relatively crisp and neat effect in front of the lens. Although this pairing is basic, once worn, that campus vibe instantly appears. The combination of white socks and loafers is also a classic student pairing, which can wonderfully flatter the leg shape.
During the shoot, I prepared several cute plush toys as props. The large U-shaped pillow held in the first two close-ups, as well as the unicorn in the subsequent full-body shots, were both meant to enrich the frame, and this kind of plush element also plays a great echoing role with the fluffy balls of the twin tails. The unicorn also has a yellow crown on its head, which matches the overall pink-and-white color scheme very well. When taking a mirror selfie, I deliberately put on a dark red beret with white plush trimming on the edge. To showcase not only the upper body makeup but also the full-body outfit in the frame, I adjusted my sitting posture for a long time, allowing the pleats of the pleated skirt and the lines of the white socks to be better displayed, while also keeping the plush toy in my hand at an appropriate position to avoid blocking key body lines.
This time the preparation was a bit rushed, and maybe some details are still not perfect; please bear with me for any OOC (out-of-character) moments. My own understanding of wanting to become cute in this setting is hoping to present a Hyacinthia image that is closer to daily life and more lifestyle-oriented yet without losing two-dimensional characteristics. Whether it's close-up facial features or full-body mirror records, it's a concrete attempt at this parallel world setting.
