For Rem's angel headcanon styling this time, I mainly wanted to blend the character's ethereal lucidity with a sense of sanctity. For the wig, I chose a light blue shade, carefully chopping the layers during trimming to enhance an airy feel, while keeping the bangs thick enough to just cover the brow bone. To complement the blue hair in the makeup, I selected contact lenses with natural edge transitions, using pearlescent white to highlight the inner corners of the eyes and a light blue gradient blend at the outer corners. Avoiding overly thick eyeliner, the look leans heavier into an innocent, pure vibe.
The costume is the core of this shoot. The white lace corset dress is reinforced at the waistline to maintain a distinct cinched-waist effect. The massive wings on the back are built on a semi-rigid base covered with white feathers; wearing them requires carefully adjusting the tension of the dual shoulder straps, otherwise the wings tend to tilt forward. Because the skirt hem features a short pleated design, pairing it with White stockings makes the leg lines look smoother. The White stockings are made of a 120D semi-sheer material that balances texture and elasticity, though walking on wooden floors during the shoot can easily cause snags—anti-snag treatment beforehand is recommended. The hands are adorned with white lace gloves featuring elastic wrist cuffs so they won't slip during gestures. A black cross necklace was added to the neck as the sole heavy dark accent in the entire white-and-blue palette, successfully drawing the visual focal point downward.
The shooting location was chosen next to an indoor vintage wooden piano. Light streaming in from the left window created a natural softbox effect, so I tried to keep my face oriented toward the light source during shooting, angling the wing expansion to form a distinct angle with the light and utilizing shadows to sculpt facial contours. The sitting poses were by far the hardest part to adjust: when extending the right leg forward, the instep must be pointed to elongate the line, and the bend of the left leg needs to be kept around a 45-degree angle so the skirt hem doesn't weigh down the leg and look bulky. When supporting yourself with your left hand on the ground, keep your shoulders relaxed and lowered, with your right hand resting lightly in front of your chest and elbows slightly tucked inward, making the proportion between the White stockings and the body look much more comfortable.
The placement of the wings also requires great care. When sitting on the carpet, the lower half of the wings easily rubs against the floor, so I needed to slightly adjust my spine posture, using waist strength to keep the wings hovering. To emphasize the contrast between the blue hair and the white attire, we avoided overly bright objects in the background during shooting, allowing the vintage brown wood grain to naturally anchor the overall color tone. Rem as a character inherently carries strong dualities, and this time with the angel headcanon theme, the expression leans more heavily into her quiet, healing side. Judging from the raw shots, the garment wrinkles, lace textures, and feather layers are all preserved quite clearly, and the texture of the White stockings met expectations—making it an immensely satisfying styling endeavor.
