Cutting straight to the chase: this shoot features a cosplay look of Mutsumi from Arknights (Ave Mujica), giving tangible form to Mortis's aloof aura laced with undertones of death. When I first received this outfit, my immediate impression was its sheer, pure blackness. To faithfully represent the character, I carefully analyzed the wig's color palette, ultimately selecting mint-green silvery-white long straight hair with blunt bangs for a chilling visual sharpness. The massive black ruffled bonnet atop the head is the centerpiece of the styling—edged with a ring of pearls and bearing a golden crescent moon in front, its sheer volume exaggerates my body proportions, which perfectly matches the character's detached, distant aura.

The makeup focused on layered depth across the red lips and eyeshadow. Earthy tones grounded the eye makeup, paired with brown contacts to bring out a razor-sharp gaze. The skeletal ornament below the collarbone and the black choker around the neck were the finishing touches; to complement these adornments, I consciously worked on neck and shoulder posture before the shoot.

The garment features intricate layering: a black corset top accented with mint-green ribbons, paired with multi-tiered voluminous skirts that create a sharp contrast between black chiffon and white piping during motion. The lower half features polka-dot lace-trimmed black over-the-knee stockings, with leather kneepads at the knees adding a touch of techwear functionality. To elevate the overall texture, I paired the look with black leather gloves and Mary Jane shoes.

The location was set outdoors—a venue with sunlight, a lake, and palm trees, alongside wooden cabins and expansive floor-to-ceiling glass windows. While shooting at the lakeside bar counter, the intense natural sunlight created a strong contrast ratio. Leaning against the wooden table, I used the chiaroscuro to highlight the pleated fabric textures while angling my legs so the polka-dot stockings flowed smoothly along my silhouette. Inside the sunroom, I utilized the geometric shadows cast by window frames, reclining beside a wooden cabinet to showcase the flowing skirt and slender leg lines. Throughout this set, I explored diverse sitting and standing poses to showcase the allure of black stockings and body curves naturally without wardrobe malfunctions, all while sustaining the character's signature aloofness.

Overall, the light and shadow in this set met my exact expectations, with both indoor and outdoor lighting highlighting the rich textures of the garments perfectly.
