Slipping into this khaki jacket, knotting the red tie, and catching my reflection in the mirror made me feel instantly transported into that world overflowing with retro electronics and time machines. This classic Makise Kurisu attire from Steins;Gate may resemble an everyday school uniform at first glance, but the details require meticulous care. The monochrome striped cuff bands on the jacket sleeves, the crisp weave of the white button-down shirt, and that signature scarlet tie all served as constant reminders that I was embodying that genius researcher. Prepping for this shoot meant paying close attention to pressing out garment creases and aligning each accessory to channel that balance of academic intellect and effortless casualness.

The can of Dr Pepper in hand was an indispensable prop. While not my usual daily drink, holding that crimson aluminum can instantly connected me to the Assistant's signature blend of tsundere pride and sharp rationalism. We staged the shoot in a Retro laboratory aesthetic surrounded by vintage CRT monitors, tower cases, and tangled cables. The green ambient gel lighting cast a moody glow that bridged high-tech nostalgia with suspenseful mystery. Standing amidst all that machinery, I could vividly envision fingers flying across a mechanical keyboard, deducing world-line divergence theories in that very room.

What captivates me most about Makise Kurisu is not merely her prodigal intellect, but her emotional resilience and vulnerability when confronting the unknown. In front of the camera, rather than forcing a cold persona, I focused on channeling razor-sharp concentration into my gaze and keeping physical motions natural—such as brushing back a stray hair strand or raising the soda can toward the lens. Perfecting the frames required repeated adjustments to light fixtures and camera elevations. In particular, the half-crouch posture in Image 1 demanded substantial core stability to hold balance, but repeating the take was well worth it to cleanly elongate the line of the Black stockings and legs.

Throughout the session, I continuously contemplated how to convey her interiority through body language. The laboratory set felt chilly; wearing shorts and sheer tights under cold green gels made the ambient drop quite noticeable. Yet the moment the shutter rolled, every ounce of focus locked onto the lens and character expression. I admire her ability to maintain calm analytical composure amidst chaotic situations, so during takes I consciously settled my facial muscles, shedding casual habits for quiet, observant focus.

The compositional framing and color palette were also carefully planned. The phosphor glow of vintage computer monitors and the cool-toned backdrop forged a crisp contrast against the warm khaki of the coat. The crouched pose in Image 1 was framed to accentuate the tailoring of the jacket and overall wardrobe proportions, while the beverage stance in Image 2 leaned into her candid daily rhythm. Acrylic standee accents in the background further heightened the feeling of converging dimensions, enriching visual depth.

This shoot was not merely a costume recreation, but an immersive step into a beloved sci-fi narrative. From wardrobe coordination to set dressing, every detail sought to resonate with that universe. While tracking down props and calibrating studio gear was exhausting, seeing the finished frames manifest that persona erased every bit of fatigue. Through these visuals, I hope everyone can feel Kurisu's allure and that singular romance where science meets fantasy.
