[Minami Kotori Cosplay] Love Live! μ's Energetic Idol, Delivering the Joyful Light of the Stage

As a cosplayer of Minami Kotori, I chose the classic energetic look of the μ's idol stage for this photoshoot. This Minami Kotori cosplay costume involved a lot of preparation regarding details, especially the off-the-shoulder pink-and-white checkered base paired with the iconic white multi-layered tiered skirt. The cascading ruffles make the overall visual center of gravity feel lighter and more agile. The color scheme of the small round hat on top is a bright macaron shade. Paired with the long, straight golden wig, and to recreate the character's refreshing and sweet traits, I specially designed a braided hairstyle using claw clips with a few loose strands and small rainbow-colored hairpins.

The handheld pink microphone is a classic prop. When shooting the second picture, I intentionally let the skirt hem spin and lift with my body. Combined with the hanging white plush tail, it instantly captured the feeling of an idol shouting energetic calls at the center of the stage. During the shooting process, I paid close attention to combining light, shadow, and aura. Although the floating effect in the first picture required the photographer to capture shots repeatedly to find the right angle, the final sense of lightness perfectly matches Minami Kotori's agile temperament as a singer. The backward-glance pose in the third picture carries more narrative depth, as if reaching out the microphone toward the fans.

The mint green background of this entire set of idol photos is pure and clean, serving as a wonderful complement to the candy colors like pink, yellow, and blue in the costume without looking cluttered. Meanwhile, the pink leg rings and gloves worn throughout make the character's color theme even more distinct. In terms of facial expressions, I worked hard to balance a young girl's playfulness with an idol's professionalism, keeping the eye interaction with the lens natural to avoid looking overly forced or affected. Whether it's a low-angle shot to show the waistline or an action shot of the hair strands, every shutter click aimed to convey Minami Kotori's gentle yet energetic energy. Thanks to the team members who participated this time. Everyone coordinated with the lighting in perfect harmony, allowing me to be more relaxed while portraying this character. I hope this costume style can make everyone feel the pure joy belonging to a Love Live! idol.
