This set of Fallen Rosemary costume design details is very exquisite. The deep purple main color tone matched with light blue rose embellishments creates a very strong visual contrast. To restore the character's elegant temperament, I tried using deeper eye makeup and bright red lipstick in the makeup styling to highlight facial contours, and the wig was also correspondingly styled to ensure a flowy feel during the shoot. The material of the clothes has subtle changes under different lights; the gauze fabric of the arm sleeves and the satin reflection of the skirt hem are distinct in layers, greatly enhancing the overall gorgeousness.

In terms of props, the long staff in hand is quite large in volume and not light in weight. To capture the effect of a floating sitting posture, I needed to keep the upper body relaxed and dignified while tightening my core. With my right leg crossed over my left leg, the high-slit skirt hem just showcases the leg lines, and the black totem tattoo and metal leg ring on the thigh are also key details restoring the character setting. During the shoot, I tried to keep my body in a semi-S-curve, and the position where my right hand gripped the long staff also needed strength, so that the arm lines would appear natural and powerful. At the beginning of posing, because the prop was too heavy, my shoulders would unconsciously tighten up; later, under the guidance of the photographer, I took a deep breath and leaned my center of gravity backward as much as possible, finally finding that effortless elegant feeling.

The shooting location was chosen as an indoor space with huge floor-to-ceiling windows, and the overall lighting leaned cold. To match the special effects of purple thorns and falling black petals, I constantly adjusted the draping feel of the skirt hem and the floating direction of the long hair on-site. Although the special effects in the photos are synthesized in post-processing, in order to make the skirt hem have a flying dynamic feel during the shoot, I repeatedly tried multiple lifting and lowering actions, which has high demands on physical strength and balance. The position of the fan is also crucial; it must blow the flowiness of the long hair without blowing the wig to completely cover the face.

Rita's character looks gentle and elegant on the surface, but deep down she possesses a poised sense of control. Therefore, I relaxed my facial expressions as much as possible in front of the lens, keeping my gaze slightly calm and profound, cooperating with the posture of the long staff, making the whole character appear aloof yet full of charm. I would purposely raise my chin slightly in front of the lens, with a focused gaze, attempting to showcase that trait of hers that sees through everything.

The shooting process of the entire convention photos was very fulfilling. From wearing the costume to placing props, and communicating with the photographer, every link required patience. For example, the cutout design on the chest and the blue roses on the waist needed position adjustments when wearing to avoid accidental exposure. The reflection of the ground will also affect the frame; we utilized the light and shadow on site to create a suspended spatial sense as much as possible. Being able to piece together the pre-conceived picture in my mind bit by bit through the lens and post-processing, and seeing the final photos, made me feel that the previous fatigue had disappeared. This process of interpreting characters with visual language is a enjoyment in itself. Next time, if there's a chance, I'd like to try different styles of scenes and lighting matching, continue to polish the details, and seek more breakthroughs in action design and emotional expression.
