[Nahida Cosplay] Receiving Handmade Halvamazda from a Close Friend: Convention Routine Log

This set of photos was taken during a recent anime convention, capturing my state that day while cosplaying a character my friend loves. The first photo was a candid shot in the car while heading to the venue; the atmosphere at that moment was quite relaxed, with the seatbelt slanting across my body for a comfortable feel. The next two were shot against a clean white wall found indoors, mainly aiming to showcase the overall outfit state and prop details.

Regarding this styling, I spent a long time styling that silver-white wig fading into mint green. The layered look of the highlighted section under the light was gorgeous, and the curves at the hair tips helped frame my face nicely. To match the character's lively feel, I specifically chose bright, high-saturation green contact lenses, paired with silver-grey eyebrows and rosy lip color, creating a fairy-like aura against a fair complexion base. The outfit adopts a sleeveless off-shoulder design with intricate stitching details on the collar and chest—green and gold patterns interwoven over a white base with leaf-motif subtle textures, while gold circular bracelets at the arm and wrist added great texture for close-up shots.

The biggest highlight this time is the special prop held in my hands in Photos 2 and 3—namely, Halvamazda. This prop was handmade by my close friend, and receiving it was a wonderful surprise. Built with solid materials, it features a white main structure with green borders, featuring a faithfully recreated yellow star in the middle and a subtle surface sheen, making it look like a delicate pastry. To hold it steadily at the convention venue, I carried it all day; though a bit tiring, seeing the final effect filled me with total satisfaction.

The convention hall had heavy foot traffic that day, but with the magic of this special prop, many passing fellow fans stopped by to inquire. As a cosplayer who loves refining makeup and staging, I feel every cosplay representation is an external expression of character understanding—not just physical resemblance, but conveying a lively yet serene vitality. Integrating the prop and outfit seamlessly made this a very smooth endeavor.

When taking these two photos against the white wall background, I deliberately adjusted my hand gestures—whether it was the playful pose touching an index finger to my lips, or resting my chin on one hand with a thoughtful look, attempting to capture the balance between daily life feel and divine nature of the character. Even against a plain background, carefully refined body language combined with this highly recognizable costume palette delivered strong visual recognition.

What felt particularly heartwarming about this convention trip was this tacit bond with my friend. Knowing how much she adores this character, I poured extra care into my makeup styling, hoping not to fall short of her expectations. Though makeup and styling were tedious—such as dry eyes from wearing contact lenses for hours and constantly combing the wig—all those minor hassles evaporated the moment I held that heavy handmade prop. This emotional connection forged through cosplay is far more precious than merely taking glamorous photos.

I really enjoy these shooting scenes infused with daily life vibes, which carry a touch more authenticity than deliberately decorated studios. As for Nahida, her character traits inherently possess a natural warmth and approachability, and I feel this casual shooting atmosphere fits that point perfectly without chasing over-polished artifices.

Lastly, regarding the wearing experience of this costume, because the fabric and pattern trims are relatively stiff, there's some limitation when performing actions. However, through simple standing poses and hand gestures, the tailoring and design highlights of this outfit are already well highlighted.
