I recently made time to shoot this Nahida set. Let's talk about some of the ideas and experiences from this photoshoot.
This time, I prepared a look full of elf charm for Nahida, choosing an off-the-shoulder dress dominated by white tones. The details of this outfit are rich; the neckline and chest feature concrete green leaf elements complemented by delicate lace trimmings, giving wonderful depth and layering. The cuffs feature puffy lantern sleeves, visually broadening the shoulder line and stabilizing the visual weight of the upper body. The skirt on the lower half is layered, with wavy lace hems and green piping accents, creating a lively motion whether running or making simple gestures.
For hair and makeup, to restore this sense of living vitality, I chose a long wig transitioning from silver-white to light green, with slightly curled strands to avoid looking stiff. Alongside matching green hair accessories, I wore special pointed elf ear props, chose light green contact lenses, and incorporated grass-green eyeshadow into the eye makeup, which echoed the overall color palette wonderfully. For the set built at Kasumi Studio before shooting, a large green backdrop was paired with giant white flowers and fence props, while the ground was covered with a realistic-feeling green turf, creating a miniature forest garden atmosphere.
During the shoot, photographer @九九九是月📷 was particularly skilled at capturing emotions. The posture in the first photo was kneeling on the grass with hands gathered together in front, a quiet and well-behaved setting well suited for the character's ethereal nature. The second photo switched to a standing upper-body close-up pose with both hands raised pinching her ears, featuring a slightly more playful expression. This contrast broke monotony and gave the photos richer emotional expression. Since the character's costume is relatively lightweight, the shooting process didn't require strenuous physical posing, relying primarily on facial expressions and hand movements to convey an atmosphere connected with nature.
Through this actual shoot, I truly felt the sense of accomplishment in bringing such a fantasy concept to reality inside a studio. The white dress and green background looked exceptionally clean and bright under the lights, with light and shadow interplay filtering through the set structures capturing the fabric mesh textures and lace details accurately. Whether color temperature control or overall image brightness, a refreshing, healing main tone was maintained throughout. From trial makeup to the actual shoot, the whole process went very smoothly, making it a deeply fulfilling creative endeavor.
