I shot Da Qiao's Beloved Bride at the convention site. The light purple long hair paired with a wedding dress interwoven with ice blue and pure white; the light-sensitive fabric shows excellent reflective layers under the complex lighting at the venue. The headpiece has many lace and tulle train details, requiring me to keep a stretched posture at all times to avoid looking bulky. During the shoot, I fully utilized the open overhead lighting of the exhibition hall, trying large-dynamic turning and reaching movements, attempting to freeze the moments of the skirt and hair fluttering. The white lily bouquet in my hand serves as an accessory, which coordinates perfectly with the overall cool tone. In the noisy environment with people shuttling back and forth, the photographer effectively avoided the messy background through depth-of-field control, focusing the visual center on the face and clothing texture. Although the convention lighting was mixed, it gave the photos a unique, authentic texture. The character of Da Qiao has traits of gentleness and guardianship, which I tried to match in my movements through soft body language. The pale blue ribbon on the costume drew beautiful lines while walking, enriching the dynamic feel of the frame. The wig and headpiece were reinforced to avoid shifting during frequent movements. Reasonably controlling the light ratio in the early stage well preserved the contour lighting and shadows on the shoulders and neck, as well as the layer transitions of the shiny fabric. Overall, it can be considered a presentation of that holiness that fits the site. Through this real-life shoot, I also gained more experience on how to photograph such bright-colored dresses well under complex exhibition hall lighting.
