The first day's shooting schedule at the convention finally wrapped up, and back at the hotel organizing photos from the camera, the lighting and custom set pieces at the China International Comics Festival (CICF) truly had incredible texture. This time, I went with a Vintage style: the black-and-white concentric circles in the background paired with a red leather armchair, along with a vintage television placed nearby and scattered newspapers, created a psychedelic, retro atmosphere. Shooting while seated on the red sofa went exceptionally smoothly; the photographer was adept at using high-angle overhead shots to elongate the leg lines. To complement the texture of this outfit, I specifically paired black over-the-knee boots with a grey sleeveless vest, featuring a black-and-white checkered collar patchwork and purple cuffs that created a striking visual contrast. The twin-lens reflex camera prop hanging across my chest was something I prepared myself; it carried substantial weight in hand. During the shoot, I repeatedly adjusted poses—crossing my legs, resting my chin on one hand, or extending my hands forward to create perspective depth—which resulted in several great shots. Naturally, capturing good Convention photos relies heavily on on-site direction from the photographer; he suggested reaching my hands toward the lens to enhance spatial depth, which worked out wonderfully. The crowds at CICF were immense, so snagging this red sofa spot was sheer luck. Preparation the day before the convention took quite a while, particularly ensuring the wig and colored contacts fit comfortably. Even though wearing them all day left my eyes somewhat dry, seeing the final photos made it completely worthwhile. After an entire afternoon of shooting, my hair became slightly tousled, but that actually suited the relaxed, nonchalant vibe of the shoot. The sleeveless design paired with fresh blonde short hair easily accentuated facial dimensionality and shoulder-neck contours under bright lighting, producing pleasing results that did justice to the camera prop I brought along. Returning to the hotel, eating a late-night snack while browsing photos on my phone, several candid captures looked wonderfully natural, especially against the red sofa where the color saturation popped. The overall outfit lines were sleek without superfluous clutter, highlighting layers in the legs and upper body for a clean visual impact. Subtle details, such as the armbands and leg straps, were also showcased effectively under the high camera angle. Although walking around the convention all day was exhausting, being able to capture my favored Vintage style Convention photos in such a customized booth made the trip truly worthwhile. In terms of styling, blue colored contacts paired with the short blonde hair created a vivid color clash that accentuated the Anime-style photography essence. Throughout the shoot, I experimented with various angles aligned with the swirling lines of the background pattern, maintaining great condition in front of the lens. Teamwork with the photographer was seamless today, capturing the vintage aesthetic spot-on. This CICF shooting experience was thoroughly enjoyable; although we waited a bit due to the bustling crowds, the overall pacing remained firmly in control. Paired with the Vintage style vest and black boots, even without intricate patterns, it turned heads. Looking at these photos, the newspaper props, camera, and red sofa complemented each other's textures beautifully, leaving the final images rich with vintage flair.
