Shot during Guangzhou Anime Convention, this Nahida maid cosplay was meticulously put together from costume and hairstyle to props. The outfit in the photos is a modified white-and-green maid dress with a relatively form-fitting collar and chest area. The pendant details in the middle and the embroidered patterns on the apron are major highlights of the ensemble. The lace ruffle around the apron edge adds a sense of fluffiness, keeping the overall image from looking flat.
Paired with pure white tights, this is one of the visual focal points that many fans love about this cosplay. The white stockings combined with a short puffy skirt and black round-toe Mary Jane shoes neutralize the uniform feel of a traditional maid outfit, adding a touch of sweetness and playfulness. Many fellow fans at the venue really liked this refreshing color scheme and material texture, which looks exceptionally clean under sunlight.
For the wig, it features a silvery-white base with a soft yellow-green gradient at the tips. When styling, room was specially reserved for elf ears, which, along with light eyeshadow and contact lenses, aligns the overall presence closer to the clever, lively feel of the original character design in Genshin Impact. For makeup, outdoor natural light demands high quality base work, so I chose a translucent foundation paired with earth-tone eyeshadow and light green contacts to make the eyes look even clearer.
Worth mentioning is the long-handled broom prop adorned with a bright green bow ribbon, which echoes the cosplay theme while serving as a key prop to easily vary poses. At the convention venue, carrying this huge cleaning prop was quite iconic—many people jokingly asked if I was going to sweep the entire venue clean. This fun interaction added to the enjoyment of walking the floor, and I deliberately adjusted how I held the broom so it integrated into my poses like a magic staff.
During the outdoor photoshoot, I tried several different poses. For example, in the shot chosen as the cover, lifting one leg slightly while holding the broom handle with both hands against the lush green background not only visually elongated my leg proportion but also made the motion more dynamic. When standing, paying attention to posture—chest up and core engaged—best showcases the curves and silhouettes of the maid dress. When sitting, soft cheek-resting gestures with legs neatly together kept the ruffles and skirt hem from looking messily bunched.
As for photography techniques, since it took place outdoors near the anime convention, lighting was ample. Under such lighting conditions, white areas of the outfit easily overexpose, so during post-processing I deliberately preserved the fabric texture details while enhancing the saturation of the green parts to keep the overall palette fresh. To achieve good depth of field, a wide aperture was used during shooting, turning the green leaves and paving stones in the background into beautiful circular bokeh light spots that perfectly highlighted the subject.
Although foot traffic at Guangzhou Anime Convention was heavy on shooting day and the local weather was muggy, wearing a puffy petticoat and tights made the photoshoot tougher than expected, breaking quite a sweat. However, overcoming these was essential to maintain the outfit's shape and lines. Every pose adjustment and costume touch-up was done to ensure the final convention photos presented the best state possible. Seeing these clear, vibrant photos now still brings back memories of Guangzhou's sunny weather and the dedicated spirit in bringing this Nahida Cosplay look to life.
