[Eleg cosplay] Goddess of Victory Summer Exclusive: Splashing in the Pool in a Summer swimsuit

This shoot brings you a summer original concept design for Eleg from Goddess of Victory: Nikke. The overall styling approach was focused on a fresh, lively Summer swimsuit aesthetic, which is why I chose a bright yellow tie-string bikini paired with vintage distressed raw-hem denim shorts to introduce a relaxed, everyday flair and keep the beachwear from looking too plain. The color of the waist ties echoes the top, and paired with a black thigh ring on the left leg and semi-sheer white knee-high socks for a Stockings cosplay touch, it creates an engaging visual contrast in both color and texture.

A great deal of care went into the hair and makeup. The blonde bob wig features fluorescent yellow highlights with rich dimensionality. To emphasize the 2D aesthetic, the blunt bangs were styled quite heavy to completely conceal the eyes. This eye-veiled styling actually poses quite a challenge for physical expression: because direct eye contact is cut off, conveying the character's emotions during the shoot relied heavily on subtly tucking the chin, nuanced lip expressions, and expressive hand gestures. Generous sweeps of pink blush were dusted across the cheeks and bridge of the nose, pairing with a reddish lip tint to create an unmistakable dewy translucence under intense outdoor sunlight. The yellow beaded necklace with a butterfly pendant on my neck was the finishing touch, complemented by stacked beaded bracelets on my wrists and bright yellow nail polish, harmonizing every detail with the overall palette.

The shooting location was set at a water park. The azure pool, pink ground panels, and distant water slides provided an inherently rich, colorful backdrop. In the first photo, I stood in the water slightly angled, resting my left hand gently against the necklace while extending my right hand toward the water's surface, elegantly stretching out the body's silhouette. The second photo features a kneeling pose on the turquoise ground with a peace sign, an angle that better displays the bikini's cut and overall silhouette. In the final shot, I settled into a transparent inflatable swim ring, leaning forward to capture the optical refractions of clear vinyl and water ripples, adding dynamic vitality to the frame.

The blazing sun was relentless that day, easily affecting the wig and makeup outdoors. To keep the hairstyle intact, every time I stepped out of the water, I immediately dabbed the ends dry with tissues and adjusted the fringe to prevent knotting or warping. Wet swimwear and denim shorts become significantly heavier in water, so shifting seated positions and poses required extra caution for safety while keeping the fabrics smooth to avoid unflattering bunches or wardrobe slips. The transparent swim ring drifted easily across the surface, requiring staff on hand to steady it, and we continually touched up sunscreen and blotted oil during breaks.

The joy of an original concept lies in preserving the character's foundational spirit while incorporating one's own interpretation of the summer season. Expressing Eleg's blend of easygoing languor and playful spunk through this photo series fulfilled a sweet little summer wish of mine.
