[Cissia Cosplay] Color Collision in Zenless Zone Zero: These Outfit Details Really Hit the Spot

Preparing this Cissia styling took considerable effort from initial makeup testing to final photo output. Particularly to capture the character's essence, regarding eye makeup and contact lens color, we repeatedly tested several shades before settling on the current red amber tone, which paired with bright light-blonde hair creates a wonderful warm-and-cool contrast during the studio shoot.

This photoshoot experimented with two different composition approaches. The first photo incorporates magazine layout elements—large English typography and negative space give the frame a rich narrative feel, like a page torn from a trendy artbook. The second photo focuses more on capturing the subject's own state, where a half-body standing angle more clearly displays the outfit's tailoring and accessory details.

Speaking of the outfit, my absolute favorite piece is the red-and-black color-blocked halter top. Bright red fabric is printed with clear \"NEPS\" lettering, stitched at the neckline with shiny black material and paired with a green plaid bowtie, delivering rich visual layering. Below the collar are several white buttons and gold piping, showing solid craftsmanship in the details. The shiny black pleated skirt hem reflects light nicely, complemented by a gold star badge right in front, injecting a touch of crispness and coolness into an otherwise cute skirt.

The detached arm sleeves are another highlight of this look. Combining white ruffles with black-and-white color-blocked sleeves decorated with buttons, they not only flatter the arm lines but also prevent the overall styling from looking monotonous. During shooting, I intentionally made a collar-grabbing gesture to better display the design connecting the sleeves and top. The leather thigh ring on the leg is another indispensable element; the gold metal ring has great texture under lighting, serving as a subtle detail that enhances overall character tension.

In terms of hair and makeup, to accurately restore the character's signature Blonde twin tails, the wig was styled with great detail. Beyond the base twin tails and bangs, fluffy white pom-pom hair ornaments were added to both sides atop the head, combined with small black snake clips—retaining character features while making the head silhouette look fuller and more 3D. For eyebrows and eye makeup, I specifically made sharpening adjustments to give the gaze a cooler, sharper look, which pairs impeccably with red pupils.

The atmosphere for this shoot focused on clean, crisp cool-toned studio shooting, selecting a low-saturation gray-blue for the background. Although simple, this monochromatic backdrop highlights the red, black, and gold color contrasts extremely well, allowing the subject's outfit texture and details to pop further. During shooting, various poses were tested; squatting on a tabletop vs. standing presented completely different temperaments—the squatting pose appeared more casual and agile, while standing carried a touch of bold confidence.

This set of featured photos serves as a small test of my own ability in Character-accurate cosplay. Honestly, every cosplay shoot feels like a re-understanding and secondary creation of the character—it's not just about wearing the right clothes, but more importantly finding the right state for this character before the lens. I personally found the performance before the camera very rewarding this time; although much time was spent repeatedly polishing lighting and angles during the process, seeing the final images made the sense of achievement at that moment feel incredibly genuine.
