Sunna's Delusion Angel design from Zenless Zone Zero paired with a pastel pink claw machine setting hit the mood flawlessly. This shoot was hosted at a venue in Chongqing, with a custom mint-green twin-tail wig and bright pink lenses prepped to capture her canonical gaze. The crisp white button-down paired with a black skirt, thigh garter, and pink-and-white Striped stockings formed the core visual motifs, all tied together with refined makeup touches.
The claw machine interior was tighter than expected; squeezing inside while finding flattering angles to maximize leg lines proved quite a challenge. Shooting through glass demanded extreme lens discipline, with our photographer essentially lying below the arcade cabinet for low-angle perspectives while constantly dodging glare. The pink key light combined with green neon framing introduced a subtle cyberpunk flair, and the textural presence under this interplay of light and shadow became my favorite element of the session.
Posing iterations included resting a foot against the glass to extend the legs, holding plushies sideways, and balancing a megaphone prop in one hand. The prop carried noticeable weight, leaving the arm fatigued, while holding static leg extensions tested physical endurance. Surrounding the frame with colorful plush toys helped soften spatial claustrophobia.
Seeing crisp highlights and punchy, dynamic framing on the camera monitor made all the strain worthwhile. Post-production refined highlights and shadows, accentuating the character's tsundere edge and youthful vibrance. Embodying this Anime cosplay went far beyond wardrobe accuracy—it was about connecting with her personality across every frame.
