We have finally brought the iconic Love Live! BiBi stage outfits for Maki Nishikino, Yazawa Nico, and Ayase Eli to reality. A considerable amount of time passed from the initial project conception to the official photoshoot. We had harbored this ambition for quite a while, yet always felt like we were waiting for the right moment. With all our teammates finally assembled and ready, we at last turned this long-held dream into reality.

The chosen design—delicate white lace combined with a pink leopard-print corset—plays a pivotal role in defining the idols' glamorous stage aura. The white mesh fabric possesses a remarkably refined texture, and the arm sleeves are crafted from lightweight, breathable lace finished with soft ruffled trims, delivering an exceptionally supple drape when worn. Stage costumes are notoriously intricate to construct due to the necessary dimensional layering; specifically, the diamond-patterned cutout over the chest required our teammate and the tailor to rework the tailoring repeatedly until it looked flawless and camera-ready. The underskirt features a multi-tiered silhouette spliced with gray, black, and white tones, which, harmonized by our matching white stage boots, instantly brought the authentic live concert energy to the forefront.

As for hair and makeup, I took on the role of the crimson-haired idol. The wig features a beautifully balanced, comfortable orange-red hue, precisely trimmed into an easy-to-manage bob length that simply requires gentle smoothing to maintain its natural, structured layers. My teammates took charge of the golden ponytail and black twin-tails respectively. When coordinating our makeup palettes, we deliberately went bolder than everyday styling: applying ultra-bright shimmery eyeshadow to illuminate the eye sockets, paired with soft rose-pink blush to amplify that radiant, high-energy presence of idols performing under bright spotlights. Gathering three distinct, vivid hair colors within a single frame naturally created a rich, visually vibrant composition.

For a collaborative multi-person idol cosplay shoot, the most precious element is having a team completely in sync. I am profoundly grateful to my teammates for accommodating each other through early preparations, prop crafting, and final makeup testing. In front of the black backdrop, we spent hours refining gestures, poses, and blocking, rehearsing each synchronization repeatedly to achieve seamless stage chemistry. The Polaroid photo featured here was captured candidly during our break; the atmosphere was truly magical, and I have already carefully preserved it in a protective sleeve.

Speaking of the 'Before & After' comparison photo, we specially included a ten-year retrospective comparison this time. A decade ago, I also cosplayed a red-haired character; back then, my makeup technique was quite rudimentary, the wig was casually styled, and my eyes were filled with nothing but raw, headstrong enthusiasm. Looking back at those photos from ten years ago, I realize how much I have genuinely matured. My understanding of makeup has deepened, knowing how to utilize contouring to sculpt facial features closer to the character, while my pursuit of costumes, wigs, and props has evolved into a focus on authentic textures and intricate layered details. Time shifts relentlessly, but being able to document the trajectory of one's own artistic growth feels genuinely special.

For cosplay enthusiasts, retaining the passion after so many years to rekindle that original spark of emotion—and bringing it to fruition alongside like-minded friends—is truly the ultimate happiness of being a cosplayer.
