[Nilou cosplay] Genshin Impact: Convention photos, Aloof Standing Posture & Elegant Seated Grace

We captured two shots on-site: one standing and one seated. It was at the Xiamen Ziyu anime convention, where lighting conditions inside the hall were fairly cluttered, with plenty of light stands, reflectors, and passersby in the background. However, the photographer captured the moments with pinpoint precision, and I genuinely love how these two straight-out-of-camera raw shots turned out.

The first photo features a standing pose—a cool, aloof gaze with a hand pointing toward the lens, exuding a powerful aura. When asked to strike this pose, I was initially worried it might look stiff, but the final shot had an unexpectedly striking feel. The second photo is seated on a mat: the long red hair paired with the blue-and-white outfit, along with the golden leg rings and clear-soled sandals, visually elongated my legs wonderfully. The seated framing also happens to highlight the character's most intricate details, as the subtle fabric patterns and golden embroidered trims gleamed brilliantly under the lights.

Cosplaying in this outfit was genuinely challenging, especially since the horn headpiece carried noticeable weight and required firm support. Added to that, the weather in Xiamen was quite hot during those days, and the costume's fabric was heavily layered, thick, and not very breathable. Despite sweating profusely and needing frequent makeup touch-ups, the moment I saw these two photos, I felt all the effort was completely worthwhile.

Being at an anime convention, crowds were everywhere. To capture frames without excessive clutter, the photographer explored multiple angles, even lying flat on the floor to get that full-body framing for the second photo. These two shots perfectly captured moments where I was relaxed yet focused, with natural expressions. Compared to heavy retouching, authentic Convention photos like these actually possess a far more vivid and organic quality.

The photographer's retouched returns are taking a while, and I simply couldn't wait, so I'm sharing these two raw photos first for everyone to see. I spent a long time preparing this Genshin Impact Nilou cosplay styling, and finding a photographer who understands my groove was pure luck. Although there are minor imperfections—like lightboxes occasionally reflecting onto my face—it actually enhances the live atmosphere. The convention floor was bustling with constant foot traffic, making it exceptionally rare to seize moments where the surroundings felt serene.

Ultimately, posting these two photos serves as a keepsake for myself. The pairing of crimson hair with the blue-and-white dress was truly eye-catching at the venue. I am grateful for every patient moment spent waiting and collaborating with the photographer on-site—it certainly made enduring that heavy headpiece all day more than worth it for this cosplay experience.
