The photography zone photo gallery from Wuhan Dreamland Comic Con has been sorted out, featuring a total of six outfits in different styles, incorporating elements such as fantasy, sweetness, and combat. Amidst the noisy environment at the convention site, the lighting setup in the photography zone provided great help, giving the final photos a wonderful texture.
The first outfit is white hair with blue horns. The highlighted parts of the wig needed special care to maintain fluffiness, and the metal accessory on the neck had obvious reflections under strong light. The photographer intentionally lowered the camera position, using a low-angle shot to look towards the camera, which well highlighted the character's aura and shoulder lines. The oversized sleeve outerwear and the orange sleeve covers on the arms formed a sharp color contrast, and the long strip prop held in hand required constant attention to the angle while posing to avoid breaking character.
The pink and white bunny ears outfit has a very large sheer skirt hem. To capture the leg lines and the flowy feel of the skirt, a split pose was attempted. Paired with white tights and silver high heels, it not only modified the leg shape but also looked very clean against a solid-color background. Such a high-tension action required strong core support, and the photographer and I tried repeatedly before capturing the most perfect moment of the skirt unfolding. For the lotus prop set, the drape of the long sleeves was the shooting focus; using a telephoto lens to compress space, aided by high heels, visually elongated the figure well, and the sheer fabric with a pink-purple gradient effect presented a semi-translucent texture under the flash.
The white hair and blue outfit uses a large blue long-handled weapon. The prop itself has some weight, requiring deliberate control of the body's center of gravity when holding it. The high leg-lift sitting posture required a fill light to penetrate the sheer material of the skirt to showcase the layering of the clothing. When holding the transparent cube prop in front of the chest, a slight shift in the reflector angle would completely change the effect.
The pink long hair outfit leans towards a sweet style. The slightly wavy long hair was intentionally given a fluffy treatment, the dark patterns on the white shirt had great texture under the lens, and hand movements required relaxed wrists to present a naturally curved arc. The hand poses plus the pearl necklace at the neckline provided rich details.
The final outfit is a red-and-black combat suit with animal ears. The combination of a crop top and leather shorts had very high requirements for body fit. Adjusting the position of the asymmetric leg straps and knee pads took quite a bit of time. To carry the huge broad-edged sword, the shoulder needed to find the proper bearing point, and a slight tilt could capture a strong combat vibe, while the red cloak provided great visual extension when walking or posing.
Doing cosplay is not just about putting on clothes, but also achieving excellence in actions, expressions, and prop coordination. Fabrics of different materials perform differently under light; sheer materials need to let light pass through, while metal and leather need highlights. Under the complex lighting of the exhibition hall, quickly adjusting one's state to cooperate with the photographer to complete the shoot is a test of both physical strength and technique. This assignment ended smoothly, with each outfit recording the state of serious preparation at that time.
