The Yaminogawa 3-chome setting was actually shot in Guangdong, where we located modern architecture resembling a contemporary Japanese train station. For this cosplay of Nagasaki Soyo, the outfit featured a deep navy JK sailor uniform with white trim along the skirt, paired with black knee-high socks, chunky-heeled loafers, her signature large brown tote bag, and long orange hair.

The ambient lighting on location was clear and transparent, with side-backlighting proving ideal for carving out the subject's silhouette. We used varied camera setups throughout the session: the standing pose was a subtle over-the-shoulder turn to showcase the natural flow of the long hair and the pleated lines of the uniform skirt, while the seated pose featured me looking back from the steps, framed against the yellow tactile paving and glass balustrades in the background. Despite being an outdoor shoot, the weather was wonderful, offering clean and crisp natural light. For makeup, light-blue contact lenses were selected to match the character design, lending a contemplative depth to the gaze.

The sailor suit material is structured and crisp, making it easy to maintain its silhouette on body, though slinging the shoulder bag at a natural angle required considerable tweaking. The visual texture of stockings also shifts under different angles of light; I chose a durable pair of black knee-highs that, paired with the loafers, nicely elongated the leg line. Scouting the best camera angles meant jogging up and down the stairs several times. The prop bag had substantial weight, and carrying it with one hand while holding a turning pose was a genuine test of core balance. The photographer was exceptionally cooperative, constantly searching for optimal framing to convey the character's serene, composed presence.

The finished set retains natural light and shadows without flamboyant post-processing, focusing primarily on fine-tuning contrast and color grading so the navy uniform wouldn't appear overly dim. Although the venue only borrowed certain architectural elements of Yaminogawa 3-chome, the resulting atmosphere felt remarkably authentic. Often, choosing the right location and aligning clean horizontal and vertical lines makes the final images look effortlessly natural. Overall, I am very satisfied with this JK in black tights set, and I hope the lens successfully conveyed Nagasaki Soyo's quiet, restrained, and introspective charm.
